Ahem, sorry to use this thread, but I figured it would be better to post here than creating a new one.

I got 13 Dota 2 games from steam and I would like to gift them. Everyone on my friendlist already possesses Dota 2 so I don´t know what to do with those. If you want one, then PM me your steam ID and I will add you to gift you dota 2.

The day after I got them I got a whole bunch of invites from Russian dota2 groups.

It's pretty amusing seeing how last year, everyone was desperate for a key. Now, everyone just wants to get rid of their 20+ keys, xD

I even have some of these lying around, are they just giving the game out at this point?

Well, it IS meant to be free. You can't call it as a closed-off beta at this point, because what Valve is doing right now is to send out as many invites as they can.

Why? They still can't handle millions of players suddenly surging into DOTA2 because they have limited servers.

So they're sending out invites to everyone, so that you could invite others, so that the playerbase will grow steadily as Valve slowly adds more servers.

I don't understand why the game is still in closed beta, everyone and their moms has 5+ keys.
