Guilty Gear X Blazblue?

Yes, No, Maybe so?
My friend played GG while I was introduced to BB first, then GG by his recommendation. Honestly after playing the two I think they're both great (Though I prefer the soundtrack of GG more.)
Also, May is adorable. Nuff' said. <3
I would like to see how they'd do it though. Hopefully nothing like Street Fighter X Tekken. I'm still waiting for Chronophantasma for BB, so it'd be nice to have something to play in-between the wait period.
What do you think?

The GGxBB thing is almost exclusively wished for by BB players alone. Not necessarily. I used to GG a lot before, and play some BB now. I like both franchises, but though they share the same dev, they're still a little too different to have a proper crossover. It's probably end up something like MK vs DC.

Spoiler:
Oh god. If that's the case; may I never speak of the thing again. I definitely would not want something like that.
Though in all honesty I'd probably have to agree with you. The systems are very different, and it would wind up turning into something that we might of not been asking for. Still, I'd love to see the interactions between some of the characters.

It could either be a hit or miss chance if ASW manages to pull it off. But as art-san said, the whole thing could become another MK vs DC unless they can pull it off better than we thought considering they're rather good in the story telling department for BlazBlue thus far, so all may not be lost.
Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing this happen since we got some GG Easter Eggs in some of the past BB games and I for one like to see the characters interact with each other as well, especially the women of both series.

Because of story and background settings, wouldn't that be too difficult? I'm not too familiar with GG's background setting, or any story after the first BB, but BB is post apocalyptic alternative world with magic while GG is a little further in our future with demon(magic), right? As well, would any of their goals cross with one another? Idk, I'm curious, can someone clear this up for me?

GG had different bad guys through the titles, but it all comes down to everyone running after 'that man'. BB just everyone runs after Hazama since forever. Both have unnecessary comedy-relief side characters (chipp/jam & bang/tao etc.) and I guess it would work if they made a complete self-parody out of the game and just have all the characters jerking off, similar to how type moon handled their 'crossover' anime.
Gameplay-wise it's the real shitter. If you base it on the GG system you lose sales from the BB base. If you base it on the BB system you piss off all the GG players by ruining their characters. The problem is that the whole GG cast and the way they handle the engine are ridiculously overpowered in comparison to the rather slow and limited BB cast. If you look at Chipp and the borderline unfair tools he's been given you realize that Bang/Tao (Both characters based on Chipp, although Tao more gameplay-wise.) are purposefully designed to be a toned-down version, much more user-friendly both to play as and play against, while Chipp is still considered one of the weakest characters in GG. Now how do you get these two characters into the same game? You inevitably piss off at least one side.

I like the idea of a carnival-phantasm like anime for GG And BB. That'd be hilarious!
Also yeah.. GG characters were ridiculously OP, especially when you got into those boss-fights with unlimited mode (I'm looking at you I-NO and SOL) Like, flat out those fights were difficult, yet fun and amazing at the same time. Whereas BB has it toned down immensly, and even Ulimited Mode-fights that put you at a disadvantage are easily handled.
