With this game getting such critical acclaim, I'm suprised there isn't a topic about it.
Anyways, I bought it a couple days ago, and I'm just loving it. Unlike KoTOR (which is great game itself), it is extremely action packed. The sheer scope of the worlds and of the universe itself is simply astounding. The only problems with the game are some pop-up errors and long loading times.
So what do you guys think of Mass Effect?

This game is amazing. I'm only 10 hours in and I find it to be one of the best games I've played the entire year. The combat system is odd at first but your able to get into it pretty fast. The graphics for it are amazing, the first time the mako gets dropped onto a planet I was blown away. Since its Bioware I can't wait to see what major twist is coming up, by the way there are novels that accompany the games as well.

Well Ive never heared of this game until I checked out the site after seeing an ad for it on TV, Link. It seems like a very good game with Story Line I read the gameinfo and it sounds very much like a movie or book ive read before. It's a Pity I don't have a Xbox 360. The Graphics are intense as to be expected for the latest RPGs that are coming out in todays game market

I'm about 15 hours into the game. I have not slept in a very long time.
God damn you Bioware. Damn you too the depths of hell for creating this game. It's just.. too damn good. I don't even know how much is left. There isn't any way to tell. I could be done in one more mission, or three days from now. All I know is I'm not done yet. Therefore, I must keep playing. Stupid side quests with their amazing and the combats with it's action and win.
I need sleep. Well.. maybe just one more mission.

If you played for 24 hours straight I'd go buy you some Beer. Damn I wanna Play.

Im 15 hours in, in three careers its just too hard to decide between infiltrator, soldier, or biotic, cries this game is too great i swear the overheated ring is gonna pop-up soon and it will be before i save and i will cry

I just finished it, clocking in just over 22 hours. After playing renegade, I've killed more people senselessly than most Middle Eastern goverenments, and never felt more badass doing it. I can now die happy. This game had everything from giant explosions to alien sex.
Wait a second... if I make a female character I can have lesbian alien sex. But I already played the campaign as a Renegade, so I'll have to play again as my normal character first on Paragon. Then I'll make a girl, have her be renegade, and then I can get both the "Lesbian Alien Sex Master", and "Supreme Universal Bitch" achivements! Score!

The game is awesome, though its no were near perfect (a lot of little things in the game got on my nerves.) I have to say its one of the finest RPGs I've ever played. Just played through as a paragon vanguard going to hit level 50 with him and then make a Renegade Infiltrator and play through on hardcore. But one thing that makes ME different from KOTOR or Jade Empire is that is that Paragon/Renegade feels is more Lawful/Chaotic whereas the previous titles felt more Good/Evil. But thats just my opinion.

But thats just my opinion.While I too love this game, I have to agree with havokrt, the thing that bothered me most was when people talked, the mouth movement looked so unnatural. I played through the game as an adept and I'm shooting for lvl 60. I'm about 1/4 through my second game on it so I'm nearly there. Colossus armor pwns by the way.

So far im five hours in and its given m nerdgasms a plenty. Its so good it makes you actually want to do the side quests (in which i barly even bother looking at). But good lord is it awsome. I'm being a pansy the first time around jsut picking the "nice" dialogues. Then im gunna go renegade and blow off everyones head.
