Holy shit this announcement is on par with FF7:R to me. I loved NieR to bits and seeing the gameplay being handled by the best action studio out there. I'm creaming my pants. More info in the months to come.

NieR has the single most beautiful collection of soundtrack ever heard in a game on top of having a very compelling plot. The game's weakpoint however was the combat and overall gameplay. However, Platinum being at the helm in that department, it now has everything needed to succeed. VERY PROMISING.

Here's hoping it will be ported to PC as well, not playing the original NieR is one of my regrets from when I used to actively play consoles.

New details: Three playable characters
Taro did explain that the new Nier would feature three playable characters, two of which we have seen already; the white-haired girl who featured prominently in the trailer, and a small boy shown in a brief trailer shot standing on top of a building. The final character has yet to be revealed.

I've waited for the one game to push me into buying a PS4 and this will finally be it. I expected a platinum PS4 exclusive and NieR 2 definitely exceeded my expectations. My game of the forever.

The left side of Kaine’s left body is unbelievably black, with pulsating and jittering pulps of meat, as though it is an entirely different organism. The traveller keeps on repeating to herself “everyone is equal”, and smiles at Kaine. The traveller looks down because Kaine has been staring down the whole time. Then she sees Kaine hold something with her demonic left arm, and she was absolutely horrified when she notices what that thing is.

Kaine is holding……. that swelled up and stiff male organ. The traveller saw the blood vessels on the object shaking. Kaine isn’t just possessed by Shades, she is also a hermaphrodite. “I can’t control myself… in the night after I killed Shades…”

This is the first time that Kaine has talked to the traveller. Kaine narrows her eyes and opens up her lips, then she looks at the traveller has she rapidly moves her left hand. Her breathing becomes much more rapid, and her eyes lost focus as she looks up into the sky.

I think he said they will return but only as NPC's so that girl in the trailer might be a completely new protag.

May I request that the forum's name be altered to represent the official name?

Information on the story of Nier: Automata, http://www.siliconera.com/2015/10/27/new-nier-project-announced-as-nier-automata/. Also the protagonist of Nier:Automata is a gender unknown android named Yorha 2B. Gender unknown. Good lord.

There are possible parallels between Accord from Drakengard 3, Emil's fight against aliens in Grimoire Noir and Yoko Taro's follow up stage play to Nier:Automata Yorha(http://nier2.com/blog/2015/07/09/yorha-summary/).


On an unrelated note Yoko Taro released a manga called "Thou Shalt Not Die". I'd recommend it.
