I was just looking aroudn on mmorpg.com when I saw Everquest's page.. man that brings back memories
EQ was the first big game that drew me in.. I mean I played that game for like 5 years (1 yr break in middle)
I remember weekends that I would be on for 48 hrs+.. and some raids that took a long time..
Anyone else played this game or have any other nostalgic games?

Ultima Online. The best MMORPG of it's time.
Back in 1997, of course. No area was safe from killing, looting, and stealing. Other than town, where you could have the local guards assist you.

I still play my Super Nintendo regularly. I recently bought Mario Strikers Charged though so I've been playing that more. Unfortunately I tend to get insanely pissed off at times either because of cheaters (mainly spammers or teleport abusers but especially people that are just lucky fucks that jew me out of goals or score like 5 floaters in a row) or because of the fact that I've mastered teleport abuse and can no longer play the game properly. So when that happens I either watch anime or click on the SNES and play some CT or Contra or something.

Online games and cheating is inevitable.
Which is why you only play in small moderation, with a group of friends. Your goal should never be to compete on a global scale, because cheaters will win, every single time.

I've managed to come back from my slump. I'm 2000th on the continent and I beat number 47 yesterday. In short, I'm good enough to be in the top 100 in North America.

Can't remember if Minsc played Suikoden or Suikoden 2.
Which version had Varkus the mountain bandit?

Ahh.. Minsc found it. It was Suikoden part 1.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Suikoden_I_characters
"Varkas is the leader of the Mt. Seifu bandits and trusts only Sydonia, a reclusive fellow who opens up only to Varkas and has the strange ability to teleport short distances"
Although they call him Varkas on the Wiki, Minsc could have swore his Playstation copy said Varkus. But many years can often distort memories.
