Kinda surprised that this thread wasn't made yet, seeing that it was announced a few months ago. Anyway, Prey 2 is the sequel to the 2006 sci-fi FPS. The game's gonna be sporting the brand spanking new id Tech 5. The same engine that's being used by Rage and DOOM 4.
In Prey 2, Tommy will no longer be the main character. Instead, you now play as Killian Samuels. A U.S. marshall turned bounty hunter. Samuels has found himself stranded on an alien planet when the plane he was on was abducted. Shortly after, he takes on the role of a bounty hunter and starts tracking down aliens in a manner that'd give Boba Fett a run for his money.
Prey 2 makes a lot of changes from it's predecessor. For example, instead of keeping the first game's linear gameplay, you can now pick and choose your missions and how you want to approach them/carry them out. If this is done via open world gameplay, I'm not sure but I'm not gonna rule it out. Another change is that the game now incorporates a sort of parkour element into gunfights as you can now climb over/slide under obstacles whilst firing your weapons.

I love all the games made with the ID engine. I should pick Prey up for 360. Played it on a friends' PC back in the day but I never finished it.

A countdown website, likely related to Prey 2 has been found recently. It could be a reveal for a new trailer or maybe even an actual release date. Either way, I think I'll keep tabs on this. Whether it's fake or not, we seem likely to find out in about 23 days. More information and links below.
