RPG party names

So I was replaying chrono trigger on my psx emulator when I got fed up with all the dumb names of my party members. I then proceeded to rename them accordingly:

Chrono= Spike (cowboy bebop)
Lucca= Eva (evangelion)
Marle= Louis (Louise from zero no tsukaime)
Ayla= Taiga (Toradora)
Frog= Artur (King Arthur!)
Robo= Mecha (Mechas have plagued many a anime)
Magus= Sayan (Cuz when he runs he flies like a super saiyan!)

and of course I didn't like the time machine's name either.
Epoch= Lagan (TTGL)

I've also ran them through with pretty much every curse word in the book. It gets hilarious when they start yelling BITCH! or CUNT! on the screen.

You've gotta be more then a bit immature to laugh at people saying Bitch/Cunt in caps in complete seriousness, I thinks.

Also, since it's become habit, if I am allowed to rename characters, the Male lead usually ends up as Arizth/Fate, and the female lead ends up as Rena, because I'm both a narcissist and a SO2 fanboy.

Yuri=Itaru (Friend on Fakku)
Estelle=Aerith (Final Fantasy 7)
Repede=Scooby (Scooby-Doo)
Karol=Lo Pan (Emperor Lo Pan)
Rita=Tsukiumi (Sekirei)
Raven=Zeriam (Yours Truly)
Judith=Naga (Slayers)

Note:We call Yeager (Count Chocula) and Droite and Gauche (Loli Twins)

In Final Fantasy VIII, if you name Rinoa's dog "Bitch" or "Cock" or something like that, when you do her Limit Break, you can get "Cock Cannon" or "Bitch Strike."

Also, a better name for Magus would be Piccolo. The two have a lot in common.

I rarely change the names of my characters. I like just letting the game play out with the intended names.

well you can only have character names be as long as 5 letters in chrono trigger so my choices are kind of limited. That changing rinoas dog name is something I haven't done - good find!

To be fair, I didn't come up with the idea of changing Rinoa's dog's name. It was a friend of mine in high school. But it's good for a little laugh.

If you mean this thread it's simple say you play an rpg that gives you the ability to change people's names to whatever you want you tell them what you named your party members on your rpg game example say you play FF7 and when it shows Cloud's name you change to something else.

I lied. There was one time I changed the names of my characters in an RPG. It was Wild Arms 2, and all the characters had stupid names (except Kanon and Marivel). I probably changed all their names, but I only remember changing the main character Ashley's name to Cloud. What kind of name is Ashley for a guy? Especially a hero!

I had one once in FF7 where Cloud was "Christ", Red XIII was "Kaiser", Aeris was "Madonna", and Cait Sith was "Fluffems".
