Saitom is Xenoblade Chronicles 2's Character Designer

Yes, Saitom as in the author of Let's Do It. I noticed similarities to his art style in Pyra's portrait, but it threw me off when they used his real name in the reveal trailer. In any case, I'm just surprised by the fact that Nintendo asked a published hentai artist to do character design for one of their games. Maybe Monolift Soft doesn't care about that sort of background?

That's pretty interesting. Reminds me of when Namco had I believe Yamatogawa design the extra costumes for one of the later Soul Calibur games.

This "way of thinking" really needs to die though, western forums are now starting to attribute their "dislike" of the design with the fact that it was made by a porn artist, whereas that's a norm in Japan.

Many people started in the Adult anime/manga industry, and many are still in it, despite using Aliases.

Yes, this is far from the first situation in the industry. I just would have never thought Saitom and Nintendo would be associated together in my mind, given the company's usual family-friendly reputation. Then again, Fire Emblem Heroes and Cipher have a few recognizable hentai artists working on those projects as well. As a fan of the last two Xenoblade games, this just makes me more intrigued.
