SCR (Solcal Regionals) 2014 Discussion

So did anyone tune into SCR over the weekend?
Favorite moments anyone? *cough* Snake Eyez *cough*
Or what are your thoughts on the Ultra SFIV version selection? (My boy Sagat is back!)

I checked it out on the stream. I really wish I could have shown up in person but I'm nowhere near cali. I really enjoyed the Killer Instinct stream and how it turned out. Overall it was nice to watch.

And that Edition Select in USF4, I was so damn scared because I thought I had to deal with vanilla Sagat and AE Yun all over again. But thank God Capcom confirmed that it won't have any online capability. So it's all good. Looking forward to the 5th character reveal in a couple weeks!

It was the opposite for me actually, I thought that I would be able to reign terror on people with vanilla Sagat, but with it not being online, I'm guessing that Ultra will just be the tournament standard, which is both a shame, and the right thing to do >.

P4A: ALL HAIL JONA THE AKIKIKO PRODIGY(even though he just used SB Hook to blow up mashers, the kid's still pretty good).

I didn't get to see Grand Finals of Blazblue CP but I saw semis and it was cool to see Taokaka make it in despite not many US players using her.

Mahvel 3: I hate Flux. Alot. And this is coming from a guy who's mained Zero since Day one of TvC. I just hate his guts and I can't really explain why, so seeing him go down made my day.

Alot of people thought the GF match between F.Champ and Apologyman was in Champs favor since the two play each other often, but man, dem unblockable setups. I've played against Firebrand/Skrull duo before and I always wondered why more people never used them. That setup is dirty. And the whole time I was laughing cause of PR Balrog making Firebrand noises in the crowd.

Ultra SF4: At first I was kinda disappointed at the Edition Version announcement. If it was going to be allowed in tourneys then whatever interest I had in the game just went down the drain. Unfortunately that's not the case, although I wouldn't mind seeing some fun side tourneys with it.

I remember there being alot of hate for flux in the chat as well, I don't really get why so many people hate him, I haven't been around in the FGC that long, maybe a bit over a year, so I don't know If he's just really douchy or something, but I don't really mind him. I was glad Apologyman won, fchamp can be a dick at times, but I dont dislike him, (I wish he played dorm more than he plays pheonix tho) but Apologyman definitely earned the win. I really liked the Marvel 2 set that Justin called Khaos out for, especially how Justin was defending Sanford Kelly (I love that guy) although the set was a bit boring if not expected of JWong.

I watched the stream! KOF and SF-AE were awesome this year! I didn't get to see the first day though :(

As long as you go back and watch the Snake Eyez comeback, you're fine^^.

S/O to my boy Rsquared for that Labrys performance. I don't even care about nothing else. Wish I was there though, my Narukami would have been bringing the swag combos all day.

during the sf iv team 3v3s, it was team Norcal lead by PR Balrog vs a solcal tem named Wednesday Night Fights (WNF) and Norcal got 4 to 0 Snake Eyez was WNF's last player, a Gief specialist, and he came back 5 to 4, it was too clutch.
