Sonic: Lost World

A new Sonic game is planned to release late 2013 for the Wii U and the 3DS.
It was just revealed not too long ago (so information is scarce), but from the trailer, it looks like the perspective goes from 3D to 2.5D (much like Sonic Generations), but they did not show off that mechanic a lot on the trailer.

not to mention there is the power stone collection on psp

sonic likely will never be as good as the genesis days (or sega in general) but it's at least better than Sonic 06

Sega should just release more dreamcast games on XBL or PSN and give sonic a rest for a while.

Hence the "Unrelated" bit...

No, you're not the only one. 2K6 (and Heroes) were the only truly terrible mainline Sonic games. The Storybook games were alright, but showed why autorun isn't that great of an idea even if Sonic is supposed to run at full speed all the time. Even the Wii/PS2 version of Unleashed wasn't that bad.

Why...There's no need for another Sonic game. I was happy with Genesis and SA2: Battle.

I'm looking forward to this it looks like fun. I've like most sonic games of the most recent years only really disliking heroes and 06 so I'm not really a jaded sonic fan. Funny enough that I've played the series since the beginning but my least favorite (still good but just not my personal choice) are the original 3-4 (Sonic & Knuckles is what I played most as a kid but I've played all of them). Sonic Adventure 2 remains my favorite and this looks like it'll be a lot of fun. I say give it a chance.

This might be good. The original Sonic was always about getting trapped in a maze as you explore to try and escape, and although the maze part would probably never be done as hard as in the past it does seem interesting. Hopefully.
