The Hardest Video Game Boss Ever!

Oh, wow.
I can't even tell the size of the hit box there.
Is it even possible to dodge all those shots?

The game has two levels of flight. To dodge you have to be either above or below the shots. I assume it's instant death otherwise.

It seems that in the last minute, the player tries very hard to overcome the last wave of attack, but it seems he gave up...
Scrolling Shooting games, it's not what it used to be.
After seeing this it made Gradius, Sonic Wings, and other early age Scroll Shooting games looks like child play

This brings me back to my days in the arcade playing Raiden. Those were some of my favorite times in gaming.

Aren't all Manic Shooters like this? Anyway, it looks like this might have been played in Ultra mode.

that does look like a pain in the ass, but it IS Beatable. there is only 1 game i know of where there is a boss you CANT PHYSICALLY KILL NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO. Zone of the Enders (original), the final boss was the Anubus, which all you did was run away from the thing for like 5 min before it cuts to cinema.

Ah, this video's still pretty popular I see. I'm a little sceptical about it personally, due to one small question in my mind. When it comes to shooters, there are two main types - ones where enemies and bullets are sort of pre-determined, and ones where it's all pretty random. In certain games, fighting a boss who fires an insane amount of bullets is a piece of cake once you figure out the safe zones. I don't know if the game in question is the pre-determined type or the completely random type, but if it's the latter then I'm just as impressed as I was the last time I saw it.

well if you checked the video you can see the purple stuff come in patterns so it's pre-determined if you ask me. Most likely the movement of the boss is too. but that isn't a real problem since the purple patterns remain the same thus you can predict routes.

Looks like someone has answered the question already.
