I've Played ff7 and Zelda 64.

Cloud owns Link in every single way no matter what.

Link:
Wood boomerang.
Elemental Arrows.
Magical spells from elemental goddesses, djinn something >< I forgot names.
Mirror Shield.
Tunics that allow you to breathe like a fish, swim in lava, super strength gauntlets.
Can self resurrect with fairies in the bottle.
Saved a kingdom for a ghost king that doesn't even show his face at all, this factor annoyed me to no end ><

Cloud:
Omnislash Emo move.
Materia.
Summons.
Chain Casting Knights of Round Table combo without stopping.
Can resurrect entire party upon death with summon and support materia combo.

I don't even have to go on, Link'd get his asses kicked pretty fast dude.

How do people keep making these mistakes? Don't they at least read the categories before they post? Do all new people think up topics and then roll dice to figure out where to post them? I can see the odd thing in the wrong place every once in a while but the frequency is kinda disturbing.

links cool and all but hes famous for killing stuff bigger than himself with clever gadgets, quick feet and a sharp mind. cloud is just overwhelmingly powerfull along with much faster feet and superhuman abilities and crazy magic. cloud wins hands down.

only way i can see link winning is if its the link from this series http://scootofwhookos.webs.com/zeldauoepisodes.htm make it though the deku chapter and youll understand. right at the end is what i mean.

What's the point of these questions? It all comes down to popularity, which one you think is cooler, because the characters don't live in the same fucking world. Yeah, Cloud has materia and his Limit Break shit, and that means that he'd kill Link in an instant, but that doesn't matter, because in Link's world, there's no such thing as materia! And if Link was in Cloud's world, Link would have materia, too, and what then? Create some fake materia that Link would have that would let him kick Cloud's ass?

Who the fuck cares? It's a popularity contest! That's all it ever will be. If you like Cloud more, good for you. If you like Link more, good for you. If you think one should be more popular than the other, go ahead and argue about it. What else is there to do on a forum? But don't try to say that any part of this is serious or deals with true fighting ability and not popularity.
