What games are you most anxious for 2008?!?! Or should I say two thousand and great :P . Post a list of games your most anxious for the seventh generation game consoles (Xbox 360, PS3, and The Wii) with an exception of the PC.
Since I'm gonna own a Wii, here is a list of games I can't wait to check out or buy. Try to give more info on the games of a link to a trailer!
Super Smash Bros. Brawl All the hype is on this game and it will definitely entertain Wii owners until better games come out later on this year. Release date: February 10.
Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors I played DQ VIII no doubt that this one will be fun, but why spin off? Release Date: February 26
Baroque Remake of the PS2 version by Atlus. This game looks dark and sadistic its a dungeon crawler also. Not much info is about this game, but check out their site. Release Date: February ???
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers Never really played or finished a Final Fantasy game, but based on the reviews of it's past games FF never fails. Release Date: ???
Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk One of the games thats probably gonna revive the RPG library.
Mario Kart Wii. New features including the use of motorcycles and 12 player Wi-Fi and it even comes with the Wii wheel. What more do you want?!
Sword of Legendia Not much is known about this game wether its a spin off or sequel I'm gonna check more about it.
Why almost all of these games are RPG? Because there aren't really much games I see coming out soon worth checking out not even FPS since they all have failed.
Btw I would really like to try Army of Two for the 360 once it comes out, it looks like a keeper when I saw previews of the game a year ago.

Three words: No More Heroes. It's a Suda 51 game for the Wii where you play Travis Touchdown, the 11th best assassin armed with a Beam Katana (aka Lightsaber/CE's Anti-Ship Sword) won at an online auction and aim to kill the other 10 assassins above you. Free roaming environments and only use the Wii controls for finishing moves. Only downside is a linear plot based around killing each assassin, but it's still pretty kickass. It should do better in the US since there's no censored content and Ubisoft is publishing it. I expect great things from this game.

I hope that your SSBB doesn't get into that. Because you'll be heartbroken.
On topic: Nothing. I play games if someone personally recommends them to me or they really catch my eye. I've become picky.

for SSBB it is coming out in japan on the 31st of this month... so 1 week more, but with USA its 1 month more, and Aus.. I don't have a clue... hope its not like metroid prime 3, which took 3 months...
Nintendo doesn't like Aus...

Well I don't have any of the newer consoles at the moment (I had a 360 but sold it quite soon after buying it). What would make me buy a PS3 would be Final Fantasy XII (which is technically meant to be coming out in 2008 in Japan) and the next game by Team Ico. There's nothing coming out for the Wii that I want enough to buy one but, in a sort of catch 22 situation, if I did have one I'd buy No More Heroes since I really loved Killer7.
I'm too used to not really getting into video games any more to really be excited about upcoming ones. I haven't completed a Final Fantasy since IX (though I've played them all extensively), didn't complete Dragon Quest VIII, Persona 3 or Tales of the Abyss. I only played God Hand once and didn't go back. Those are just a few examples off the top of my head. I liked them all but I just couldn't be bothered to stick at them and kept getting distracted by other things.

I don't have any high hopes for PS3 games, can't afford the console, for now I'm just hoping that Persona 3 FES is out for the North American, but I really want the Japanese version, not the US version. I can't wait for Aegis's side story and all the other bonuses.

Looking forward to SSBB and Mario Kart Wii. Both series have been great so far and I suspect the new installments will be too. SSBB looks like it'll be even better then the original and Melee and Mario Kart Wii looks like it'll be better then Double Dash and hopefully along the same quality as the original and 64 versions(never played the DS version).
Also No More Heroes and One Piece Unlimited Adventure as potentially good games, but I'm still unsure about them as they both look like a lot of fun but could easily turn out monotonous and dull.
I'll probably also get Wii Fit, the balance games look fun and my girlfriend wants it too.
I was really looking forward to Dragon Quest Swords but I watched some gameplay videos and it looks really disappointing. Looks like you only have one additional character at any given time and the fights look pretty crappy. I liked Dragon Quest 8(had previously only played Dragon Warrior for NES as a kid) because it was just a very solid traditional RPG that focused more on being a fun game rather then just showing off graphics and slapping together a convoluted plot like most other RPGs have done these past 10 years or so. Unfortunately, DQ Swords is a totally different format, more similar to arcade light gun games where you move on rails, stop when something runs at you slash/shoot a bit and start moving again. While there's nothing wrong with trying to put the Wii controls to good use, not every game needs to be set up like House of the Dead or other FPS light gun games, that set up gets old quick.
The same rant goes for Samurai Warriors Katana. First person walk, stop, slash & shoot games just get dull after awhile(mainly because of the stop part I think). The Warriors series has been a ton of, there's no reason to change the format. Instead what they've done with Dragon Quest Swords and Samurai Warriors Katana is make a completely different kind of game and applied the graphics and title from a series just to sell units.
-Edit- Also looking forward to Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk. I never really got into earlier tales games, but The first ToS game was great(although Lloyd and a few of the other main characters were annoying) and I've just started Tales of the Abyss which is also turning out well(although again some of the main characters are annoying as hell).

We think alike bro. I've been unease about Samurai Warriors Katana after I saw the trailer it does look really dull, the guy killed a bunch of enemies with one button, that doesn't seem fun. As for No more Heroes that too I've been unease with so it didn't make it to my list, especially it's voice acting I don't really like. And for Dragon Quest it utilizes a weird battle system like those "first person rail shooter" , but I'll give it a chance once it's released. I won't have as much hype for it though since it's a spin off. (Damn spin offs coming to Wii and sequels going to PS3)
