[Locked] Shadowblaze Origins - The Rise of Vastenarok:

LAST UPDATE: Project Erakuni was a failure. Please lock this thread.

I'll leave the prologue here, in case I ever need it for something in a later story. Doubtful, though.

Prologue – A Trinity in Harmony:

Spoiler:
In the vast, grand world of Erakuni, there was once peace. Three sentient races lived together, in harmony. Undisturbed for thousands of years, they lived in a way that supported one another, covering each weakness the others had, and completing each race’s economic stability. There was no need for a military for any of these nations, as their people were at peace with each other, and no known hostile forces lived on Erakuni. There were many predators and aggressive prey that populated Erakuni, many of them with strength or speed greater than that of the sentient beings populating the world.

These races that lived in harmony had unique traits, however, that made them superior to the non-sentient creatures of Erakuni. They were known as the Azisma, Wevira, and Revoma. The Azismians could shape-shift into a creature their soul is bound to. They also had the ability to change what their soul was bound to, once during their lifetime. They could use the abilities of the creatures they shape-shifted into freely, but have an incredibly hard time learning arcane arts. Most Azismians like to settle differences with contests of strength or speed, relying on their transformations for their power.

The Revomians, on the other hand, were natural masters of arcane arts. From birth, most Revomians have either a single mastered element, or have advanced abilities in all elements from a very young age. They spend most of their years furthering their intelligence, and gaining knowledge about the world, and everything beyond. They tend to build and maintain very large, extensive libraries in most of their cities. They are not very physically powerful, and because of this, most Revomians will value trading words rather than settling disagreements with brawls or duels. Very few can best them in wits.

Finally, the Wevirians, a race of incredible individual diversity. Though fewer in number than either of the other two races, no two Wevirians share the same abilities. All Wevirians have one thing in common, however – their abilities stem from something related to their body, mind, or soul. It is fairly hard for them to learn combat or arcane arts, and becomes even harder the more powerful and developed their own abilities become. They tend to settle affairs with words of diplomacy, taking a non-violent, straightforward approach to settling conflicts. They wish to avert bloodshed at any and all costs.

Most of the time, there would still be minor conflicts between individuals and small groups of people from each race, but this was taken into account, and so once a year, they held a peace ceremony to maintain the balance and spread happiness amongst the people of all races. This tradition was held annually for thousands of years, and took place in the central capital of Erakuni – Ikuruchi. A city where the borders of the three races’ nations meet, and where people of all varieties gather to work and play. There were many residents who had made this hyper-diverse capital their intended permanent home.

After thousands of years of peace and tranquility, a mysterious woman had arrived in Erakuni. She had fallen from the sky, and crashed upon the land, in the very center of Ikuruchi. The fountain she crashed into was instantly disintegrated. Many people from all races gather to check the commotion. A cloud of thick dust veiled her, and as she rose, her frail-looking figure stood unsteadily in the center. The dust cleared, revealing a youthful woman with amethyst-colored eyes, shining silver hair, and skin so pale it was nearly translucent. Where did this mysterious woman come from, and what was her purpose here?

I am deeply sorry to those who actually enjoyed this project, but I have become unable to juggle this and college and working full time. I'll let everyone from the project know if I start another project, but that could be months, or even years away.

Well, good luck with that. I gave chapter 15 to Yanker, so I have to apologize to you, since I broke a rule by doing that... But it was necessary. I hope you can forgive me. Also, good night.
