(Shrug) Maybe I spend more time dealing with actual people than the strawmen people on both sides indulging in asymmetric insight build up to find any of this particularly griping.

As I've said in various ways responding to you Leonard, in various places: I'm not going to try and change the world you see. I can only relate the one I see in turn. And what I've lived, from the lows of an abusive mother to the highs of the best relationships with wonderful people who happen to be women I have had tell me: you aim at a minority. Go chase your dragon, as long as you don't make yourself one fighting it.

(Snip purely because our mutual quote was getting kinda silly.)

You sound very serious! Cheer up! You never really told me about world changing unless it is through hints. I am merely telling you how I came up with this joke and prank of an entry. Most of what I post here is of that nature.

This entry is also meant to be satire and light hearted humour! No dragon fighting here or political campaigning! The strawmen as you call them are indeed a minority but they are so silly I would like write stories about them. I am sharing with you what went through my mind as I wrote that. Many authors don't really do that.

PS: Please don't take Elliot Rodger seriously.

PPS: Don't take the comments I leave at the comics section seriously either.

PPPS: When are you going to explain what were you aiming for in your entry?!

Hm.

Leonard, please understand, I am accepting what you say here at face value. You're aiming for a satiric take on people you find silly.

You just brought something to mind.

Some of the best satire on a movement, philosophy, political theory and so on is written by insiders. The example that springs to mind is George Orwell. 1984 and Animal Farm are my favourite satiric novels. They are written by a socialist writing to point to how his own political ideology can go very, very wrong.

Please realize, if I misattributed you as having beliefs you do not have, it's because I have only your satire to go on. I do not know you that well as a person.

The fact you are using your satiric flames to torch anything in range of your general topic actually makes it hard to discern how to take it.

In a way, you avowing no political/ social position hurts the piece. It risks reducing it to 'look at dem crazies, laugh'. And that end to your prose...it feels like all your work I find technically impressive (I was not lightly comparing you to Grant Morrison) is for an end more suited to a brief post in one of the forms you drew inspiration from.

I think I can see another area of misunderstanding.

You flat out told me in a pm that your comments are a lark, and I will not call you a liar. They are a joke, fine. In that sense, I will not take you seriously.

However... being declared a lark doesn't stop said comments provoking thought in me, and to that end, you may preface my replies with a similar polite disclaimer:

I know you're ribbing us, but here's what I thought of when you said that particular time you did.

I'm gonna let the revision I'm working on answer that.
