i really don't see what point you're trying to make.
i was just pointing out that previously in the thread he refuted the justification of majority rules when users said a majority of users wanted the thread to stay in music because fakku isnt't a democracy and then at that instance he uses a majority rules to justify his outcome.

I know that's a lost cause. Times change and things change yet jacob is reluctant and wants to stick with outdated principles and rules like parents are.
Tbh you could just leave the thread in the music section and make the posts not count towards post count, which isn't even hard to code and everyone wins.

i really don't see the reasoning as to why increasing an arbitrary next to your user name is an issue. A part from the waifu game it really holds no negative connotations to anything. Ive been active in many forums and still am in multiple ones, bigger and smaller, and fakku is the only one to segregate hierarchy of posts like this.
The main reason i initially wanted the thread moved back into music was because when it was placed in CTFG the thread basically died out. This is for two reasons - one, new users couldn't find the thread because when people are interested in music it's only common sense they go to the music section rather than CTFG. Secondly, CTFG is a hive of activity to where a thread on the front page can easily end up on the second of third page in a matter of hours. Considering the majority of people that use that thread in the first place never go into CTFG, to go into there and sift through multiple pages just to post in a thread is a rather tedious and a lot of people i'd imagine won't bother in doing so.
Music is a universal privilege, from 200,000 years ago in Africa to the Africa of today, music is something everyone has. It holds a slightly higher symbolic meaning to people than an egotistic and personal expression like an avatar or signature. Like it or not, people like to share opinions and see what other peoples opinions on their own music tastes are. I mean otherwise there wouldn't be an industry for it.

Sansa makes relatively good budget MP3 players. There's the Fuze, but if you want something smaller you can get the Clip+. You can "upgrade" both by putting in a microSD card to increase capacity. Also, both play more obscure formats like ogg and flac. This.
I own one and my brother owns one. Have had mine for 3years+ and still going strong. My fuze at the time cost me like $60usd off ebay as well. As an audiophile i was attracted to it because i heard it was the best music player in terms of pure audio-quality on the market. I have come to agree with this statement.
In saying that however, Apple is also very good in terms of audio quality too.
However music players are getting pushed out in todays era, i too am going to retire my beloved fuze in the near future for a new smartphone.

Because if it is a debate between global mods (tegumi included) I don't believe we will come to an understanding, and because I don't believe seniority matters when we're all the same rank I would want Jacob to deal with it. If anything Jacob is less likely to agree with me than say Matt or Mike, who both think more moderation is in order most of the time.

hrmm? I dont get it, are you suggesting they would change their minds and agree with me or I would be convinced by them? To be perfectly honest I dont think Tsujoi cares and I don't see eye to eye with gambler... ever. I'm not unwilling, I just don't see it ending well.
It's up to you. You can either talk to Jacob or do that.
The latter is the more humanitarian and ethical approach if i would say so myself though.

I would probably move it back until I spoke with Jake, this became a bigger issue when you made the feedback threads and some users decided to take it upon themselves to remake the thread.
I don't have to justify myself, but I also don't want to be called a despot. As crazy as it sounds I do want people to think I do my job properly. I won't give up my values or anything like that but all I have to do to convince some of you that I'm not total shit is explain myself I am willing to do so. Contrary to popular belief I don't enjoy being hated, I'm just not willing to act differently to avoid it.

You don't have to justify yourself but like i said, don't expect users to take a leap of faith in agreeing with you when you don't. Especially if you don't want to stigmatize yourself as a despot, your statement just seems contradictory.
If Jake says it goes back into the music section then it goes back, Ive never gone against any of his decisions even if I don't agree with him, this is his website. You can look up the girls club drama form a while back for reference.
I don't expect different, any time I do something I think will be unpopular I know what will most likely happen. It would be nice if the users loved me and I could do my job as I see fit(like gambler) but I don't do things the way others want. As I said, I don't want to be hated I simply wont sacrifice what I believe in for the sake of being loved. Ive known and accepted it for a very long time now. I have made friends over it, a few users have seen some partial sanity in my actions and I do consider most of them friends now it's just a shame the rest see me as the reincarnation of Hitler.
