Wait... dont tell me its an uncensored version of the artbook...
Because i just bought the Japanese one....

If FAKKU is putting this out, it's almost a given that it's uncensored.

For the game, we really didn't get many details. I believe it's going to use the same e-mote platform as Nekopara. And it looks like it's probably a pretty vanilla/harem game. The Japanese release should be this year, not really sure about the English version. I think he did say this year but we'll see.

Here's the original Japanese trailer:

Was there any other game news? Any word on them bringing Koikatu to the west?

Not yet.

Something to note is that some Illusion staff members were actually present at the panel. Let's hope it suggests that things are going well and Illusion feels good about working with FAKKU.

You can check out the audio of the panel as a VOD https://www.twitch.tv/videos/282078346. Jacob starts talking about Games around 2:55:30 and specifically about Honey Select Unlimited around 3:00:00.
So I watched the panel. There was no mention of this poll at any time, nor was there any indication that Pandra being selected had anything to do with this poll. I think we're missing part of the story, so let's hope Jacob & Company can clear things up when they return from AX.
This book is a must-buy for pretty much anyone. Would have been shocked if this wasn't one of the announcements.
Interesting suggestion. I'd be curious to know how many people would be interested in this. Just to be clear, you're talking about untranslated/unlocalized eroge? I find it strange that you're using the word "sub" with games.
Dude you have no chill. A random redditor makes an off the cuff comment about something he may or may not have heard and you're already talking about purchasing decisions.

Everyone who participates in this Games subforum is so damn hyperbolic about everything.

Use the feedback form. Use social media. Talk (don't scream) to the developers/publisher and tell them what you want. Tell others in the community to do the same. Convince the community that we deserve better and our standards need to be higher. Don't tell me nothing can be done and nothing's ever gonna change because you can't see the future.

Being cynical and pessimistic is not going to get anyone anywhere. You're just lowering expectations, which is good in the sense that people will be less shocked when they're disappointed. But it doesn't solve any real problems. People just start memeing about how shit everything is. Honestly I think it's toxic AF. We're at the point of people sending death threats over these games. If this community is so goddamn angry about it why don't you all start your own publishing company? Channel all that frustration into something positive instead of stewing in negativity.

Beta has been posted.

I took it for a quick spin and... I'm not impressed. There's just a general lack of care in the localization. It's littered with misspelled words and rather poor grammar. Some parts read OK and some are just really rough. I don't believe it's a machine translation, but if a human worked on this, they are definitely not fluent in English.

It doesn't seem to have any bugs though. At least not in the beta, so it doesn't seem like the game is broken.

I haven't played the original so I can't comment about any cut content.

Definitely try it yourselves and give them feedback. I hope they can turn it around.

Edit: It's become apparent that there are multiple translators working on the game, one of them being quite competent. The other(s), not so much. Some parts look spotless, some are actually hard to understand.

Edit 2: I've heard that the current build of the game is still pretty early in dev. If that means there's a lot of improvement to come, then I'm optimistic. I've also left my feedback. Hope things get better from here. Overall there weren't THAT many issues with the beta (except for the UI, that was a mess).
Little late but it's time for the usual.

Time to post your favorite manga from the subscription service since the beginning of 2018. I also like to mention any artists who I think are killing it.

This thread is part of a series aimed at providing visibility to (subjectively) great manga. This can serve as a reference in the future for people who are looking for good stuff in the library but don't know where to start. So please post! It's also fun just to see what people really enjoyed.

Here are mine.
Manga:
My Former Homeroom Teacher by Tokie Hirohito - This one's quite a ride. Definitely a must-read for this year. Superbly sexy and thrilling.
How Did This Happen!? by Aramaki Echizen - Super vanilla. I think the execution in this manga is excellent. It makes me happy.
Tantalized by mogg - Probably one of my favorite things by mogg. Fine non-stop action here.
Secret Relationship by Karube Guri - I just really, really enjoyed the character design and artwork here. The woman in this stood out to me and I love her.
Snatching a Bite by Takemasa Takeshi - Don't get involved with Takemasa Takeshi's girls. They're nothing but trouble. But if it happens, you might as well enjoy it.
Love Story by Miyamoto Issa - This left a huge impression. It's a bit creepy, but probably a must-read for anyone who loves that type of monster girl.

Artists:
Akinosora - Shoutout to Akinosora-sensei for putting out four chapters in two months. I love their artwork. I think the Teddy Bear manga was my favorite.
sorani - While the maid series probably didn't meet people's expectations, I think they were still fine works of eroticism. I can't really say I'm disappointed.
Hamao - Hamao-sensei has always been a top artist in my book. Still going strong in 2018!
utu - This artist never fails to make sexy manga. Even if I'm not in love with the content, it's hard not to marvel at the artwork. Don't forget to check out their recent book, Shameless!

While I agree that there is a level past which anger becomes counter-productive, I do think that it is very important for people to express their frustration at this issue, in order for the parties involved to get the point and treat the issue seriously.

Yeah but unfortunately this has devolved into some people attacking a certain someone on social media and nitpicking everything they say (they need to quit responding too). It's become rather petty and a waste of everyone's time. I don't want this behavior to spread. It's unbecoming of the community. If you want to send a message, withhold your purchase or refund, cite your concerns, and encourage others to do the same. All this petty feces throwing does not benefit anyone and only helps breed more useless negativity.
I'm feeling a lot of anger and frustration from this thread. I get it, it's completely warranted. But please try to keep calm. If you desire a refund, go for it. But spewing negativity all over the place does not help anyone, nor does it do anything to fix the situation.

This includes attacking the publisher and their employees. Even if it's their fault, do you honestly believe that blasting negativity at them is going to fix anything? How would you feel if when you make a mistake at work, your boss decides to start micromanaging you and scream in your ear for every last thing? Do you think you would be able to work better or more efficiently under those conditions?

It is absolutely important to express your concerns and criticize where necessary. But if you're just going to blow up with negativity you're only making things worse for everyone.
I think having more options for people to support is never a bad thing. If you could buy a special pass for getting access to a specific artist's work, that would be pretty cool. However there's another side to this. From your perspective, it's a way to support your favorite artists who you were already familiar with. While I don't have any problem with that, you will most likely pass up opportunities to support artists you didn't know about. Such a system favors those who were already well known, and hinders newcomers and less popular artists.

All that aside, FAKKU may have some specific arrangement with Wanimagazine to publish manga the way they currently are. It might not be possible to do what you're asking for, not that I have any idea of what I'm talking about.

In regards to international shipping, since I did not see it mentioned here yet. If you don't mind waiting, Fakku usually has a free shipping (including international shipping) deal on or around Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving in the U.S.). You can make a large order of books then and get the digital included in the cost. The only downside cost wise is you'd likely still be on the hook for whatever import fees and taxes your locale assesses. Though, you save more on those buying in bulk if the above examples are true. Otherwise, yeah, it is cheaper to just buy the physical books from a local vendor in your country if they carry them, and then buy the digital copy from Fakku if you want that, too.

On topic, more Hisasi is welcomed here. I don't know what content the book has yet, have not checked it all out, but if the cover and bonus stickers are any indication it should be pretty good.

While there have been free shipping promotions in the past, I would not put all my eggs in that basket. These promotions are very expensive for FAKKU to do and last time, the minimum order for free shipping was 250 USD. The threshold got reduced to $150 but, you get the picture. Those numbers are not arbitrary, it really does cost a lot of money just to get one international order out.

My point is, if these promotions are not a net positive for them, I wouldn't count on their recurrence.

That was posted by the CEO of Sekai Project, known as "Dovac". Though it sorts of puzzles me that he says he was "assigned" to the project, as if someone else outranked him.

Well I imagine getting the license to publish the game does not mean you have free reign to do whatever you want. That said, I have no idea what the process is for localizing a game. Why is code being touched at all? Unless the UI and such are hard coded for the Japanese audience. Who's doing these massive branch merges and are they reviewing their work?

My real gripes are that there wasn't a proper QA job prior to release and that the release was botched instead of delayed. Of course nobody likes a delayed release either, but I think there's a lot more frustration now than there would have been had they pushed it back.

In any case, I don't see why he'd lie about it. Let's wait for another update.
I fucking love you guys. Hisasi-sensei is easily my favorite artist ever. Porno Switch is still my favorite book but I'm thrilled to add this one to my collection. This is the best news I've had all day. Thank you for choosing this book to publish!!
I'm not up to date with Nutaku but my understanding was that they had been improving (somewhat) when it comes to cut content. I don't know where they stand today. Probably still some glaring issues.

Either way I really want to play this game the way it was originally intended. I wonder if we could contact the developers and urge them to ensure that it's released in tact. @Jacob I'll happily pay double price for this game if you can ensure a proper localization job.
I think I gotta give it to Nanase Mizuho. I owe them for a lot of faps I had when I was younger. Their work isn't one of my top picks anymore but I still appreciate the art and the good feelings it gave me back then. Thank you, Nanase Mizuho 💕!

I gotta say though... The cover art on that Doumou book looks incredible.
I don't know these books very well. Can you provide a brief description of what stories and tags they contain? @Jacob
Are the previews for Europa correct? Seems like the second image is a duplicate. Looks fine now.

Liking the previews as usual. The one from Tulip caught my eye. I hope it's a good one!
If it's to stay at the bottom, I'd like there to be some indication on the chapter details that it's part of a series. Some series titles don't give much indication that they're part of a series. Also maybe throw in a button that scrolls you directly to the bottom for convenience.
If you wish to see FAKKU publish an existing book, you can suggest it in this forum thread.
