It's not really fair to criticize Niho for having users "marry" each other when a ton of people on Fakku are "marrying" anime girls. They're both harmless cases of fun (though one does seem more creepy than the other . . . and I am talking about marrying other users. That shit is stalker-esque.)

Anyways, I don't think post quality has diminished that much here at Fakku. It's all just perception. There may not be as many posts, but it's not like 90% of all posts are shit. Anyone who disagrees is free to show that now, a lot of posts suck, while months ago, most posts were superb, but I doubt anyone can do that.

It's pointless for most users to visit the chat thread. It has a ton of pages, and it's fast as all hell. If I post in it and check the thread three hours later, I have to sift through three pages of new posts (at least). Plus, it's almost like its own little club, with a lot of inside jokes and stuff that people who don't post in it won't understand.

As for it being the "only good place," that's only true if all you want is inane chatter about nothing. If you want to have even a semi-serious discussion about anything, you have to look elsewhere.

Show on FOX, been on for a couple of years, people should know about it. If you don't know about it, then sorry, this thread isn't for you.

I used to love this show, but I can't stand it anymore.

The only good characters are Booth (the detective), Sweets (the psychologist), and Cam (the boss). All the other characters are pretentious and think they're better than "normal" people. The main character, Brennan (aka Bones), is sort of like Spock from Star Trek; she values logic and science more than emotions. But Spock was still open to emotions and didn't look down on people who accepted their emotions. Brennan is pretty much a complete bitch. She acknowledges that Sweets get results with his use of psychology, but she refuses to believe for even a second that psychology is anything more than guessing, saying it's not a real "science."

Furthermore, the writing of the show has really gone downhill. In the latest season, the writers apparently decided to do what CSI did and have the crimes revolve around niche and underground interests, like heavy metal, renaissance and sci-fi fandom, and even anime (kind of). However, while CSI usually did a good job of showcasing the unconventional things, Bones does nothing more than use Google and make fun of the interests. For example, in the episode with the metal bands, they listed some of the many types of metal that exist, but there was never any passion. I could do give exactly the same information they gave by spending less than ten minutes on Google. Plus, almost all of the characters made fun of heavy metal and acted as if it was completely beneath them. For scientists, who are super-intelligent and supposed to love research and not biased personal opinions, they sure do love to judge without knowing anything substantial.

Maybe I'm just pissed because I love psychology, and Bones can't go a single episode without at least one character saying that psychology is worthless, or maybe I hate seeing a show act like it knows a lot when it's obvious that it doesn't, but the show drives me crazy now. I still watch it, but I really have nothing better to do. If I got busy, Bones would be the first thing I'd cut out of my life.

I saw the trailer for this the other day, and it looks fucking awesome. Not some lame slasher and not some generic paranormal shit with a strong hero who must overcome the evil thing. People won't be dying every five minutes, all characters that exist solely to die. This is an actual movie that happens to be horror. You don't see that often enough.

I may actually go to the theater to see it, instead of waiting for it to come out on DVD or TV.

They canceled Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends recently, and you know how they did it? They took the show off the air without telling anybody, and a few weeks later, they had a marathon of the series (on a fucking Sunday, for Christ's sake) and aired the last five episodes. Instead of letting the series end in a somewhat dignified way, they put it on for one day and showed the episodes they hadn't shown when they pulled it off the air.

In some book for a college course, it said very plainly that everyone is not entitled to their own opinion, the rationale being that if everyone can have their own opinion, and that's that, then I can be of the opinion that everybody I see on the second Thursday of every month should die and kill them. Well, that's not the example the book gave. It said something about people could believe that drinking alcohol while pregnant doesn't affect the baby, which is total horseshit.

So yeah, opinions can totally be wrong. It can be my opinion that fat chicks are worse people than everyone else. Doesn't make it right or true.
