Assuming the content of a book appeals to you, then yes, I think they are definitely worth it. It's already been mentioned, but the quality of the physical copies is amazing. I'm really happy with my physical collection of FAKKU books. I also love that buying a copy of a physical book from FAKKU directly gives you a DRM-free digital copy of the book, which is very wonderful to have, and the quality of the digital copy is also great.

I should also mention that the FAKKU Books version of some of the subscription chapters have updated art.

I. So. Happy...

It's great to finally see a Yahiro Pochi book.

Yonekura Kengo, now there's a name I haven't seen in a long time, and I'm always happy to see more Takahashi Note and Kamiya Zuzu. Kairakuten issue is looking great, and Bavel has some nice stuff too.

Great! This is a book I really wanted to see get a FAKKU release.

Yay! It's on the way! Just got a shipping notice.

This may not be a bug, and it would be nice to get a clarification if that is the case. I find that installing the Studio Neo update breaks the old Honey Studio. It makes it so you cannot load characters anymore. The selection areas for both male and female characters end up blank, but only after installing the Studio Neo xpac.

Yeah, I'm having this problem too. I can load other objects/maps/etc., but characters can't be loaded.

Itou Eights Lust Mix for me. Love his art and theres some good NTR in there.

Shout out to MEME50!

I didn't vote for Lust Mix but it's definitely great stuff, along with MEME50's book.

I ultimately went with Key's Deep Blue Static. It was a hard choice since there were a lot of great artists with great releases in 2018, like utu, Marui Maru, Higenamuchi, Hisasi, momi, Okumoto Yuta, along with the aforementioned artists.

Has anyone managed to get any map mods to work on Studio NEO? Not the map mods that you have to place as items, but the ones that would actually appear under the map category. The mod maps I'm using appear and work on Honey Unlimited Studio, but they don't show up in Studio NEO at all.

I got a shipping confirmation! Finally, some momi goodness!

Tayu tayu still has the twincest. I think all 6 that project h books are intact. They censored the sex in a lot of the other titles and cut loli scenes but the incest which tayu tayu barely had really(kiss after cumshot) is the same as the fanscan.

Now there color extras missing from the Japanese tanks, but I don't think any of my copies are censored or main content removed.

Actually I just checked and none of the books has any incest outside tayu tayu little scene of sis on sis jizz kiss. In the first chapter color pages.

Maybe it was the ages they changed/censored? Either way, it's been a while and I can no longer find the source of information I got said information from, and if anything did get censored/changed it was probably reverted in the newer editions. I remember Project H put the angel chapter back in the 2nd edition of Cute Devil Girlfriend.

Anyway, it's nice I'll finally be getting Tayu Tayu and Taihen Yoku Dekimashita?

Sweet that all these Yamatogawa books are getting picked up. I recall that 1 or 2 of these books (I think it was Tayu Tayu?) were censored by Project H because they had incest (back when they were still censoring incest) and I never picked them up for that reason. I plan on picking all of these up anyway since they won't be censored and will be in higher quality, but I'd like to see either Tayu Tayu or Taihen Yoku Dekimashita? released next.

There's a crapton of artists I'm thrilled to see this month, including Homunculus, Akinosora, Maruwatarou, and Gujira (hopefully with a full length chapter).

In my opinion, one of Higenamuchi's many strong suits *is* the art. The cutesy style, along with the way they make the girls' bodies look so soft and luscious are qualities that really appeal to me.

Anyway, like Jacob and others have mentioned, we have gotten some non-vanilla books this year. This point has already been made, but it's important to reiterate, that people define vanilla differently. For that reason, I think it's better that people be more specific about what they're looking for, instead of saying "more non-vanilla" books. Personally, even if it did have lovey-dovey sex, I wouldn't consider a monster girl book "vanilla" because of the monster girls. On the other hand, a book about casual hookups that don't lead to relationships I would consider to be vanilla, unless there's other genres thrown in like group sex or it has loli or shota.

I've been meaning to ask, and I think this is related enough to magazines, but if we want to see certain artists published in English are we better off asking for books with chapters from magazines FAKKU has already translated? Also, if the FAKKU subscriber count goes up is there a possibility you guys can get more magazines?
erolover Ero Maniac
Yes! An Okumoto Yuta book!

Other than it being in English, the game is identical to the Japanese version, including the CGs, so that means mosaics are intact. According to Nekonyansoft (the publisher), there's nothing under the mosaics, which I take it to mean the developer, Yuzusoft, didn't make uncensored assets, and those are needed to "remove" the mosaics.

Interesting, so fakku isnt getting anything from the sales of this game? That was actually one of the thing i was most curious about since fakku was the publisher I was wondering how it would effect their cut if it was available elsewhere. Also, being on steam doesn't 100% mean DRM there are a lot of games on steam that you can play on a computer without steam so long as you have the main files and the exe. Though I do get the why its not as desirable. For me I just find it easier to have all my games in one place.

Yup, and I found the topic, and on it Jacob said:

How do royalties work?

We pay royalties to Illusion on every sale of the game, meaning your purchase of the game has a direct positive impact on the Japanese developer. The majority of each sale goes to Illusion, FAKKU only takes as much as we need for the development costs associated with the official English release. We do not intend to make any profit from these games, and that's okay with us. Illusion intends to use their portion of the royalties to fund their ongoing projects and help them create new work.

Anyway, even if some of the games on Steam didn't require Steam to run them I'd rather not deal with the hassle of getting them to run without the client. Not to mention the game pages on Steam don't seem to mention whether the game can run without Steam or not. I'd rather just buy a game knowing it's DRM-free out of the box. That said, I don't mind games getting Steam releases, I just don't want them to only be released on Steam.

If I remember correctly, Jacob said that in the case of Honey Select, the only money FAKKU is getting is the money to cover the cost of translation/programming the game for overseas release. Aside from that, Illusion is getting all the money from the sales of the English version, so FAKKU isn't making money from royalties. In this case a Steam release would actually mean losing some of that money (like a 30% cut) for Illusion, though there is the advantage of exposure on Steam. Then again, if all these developers jump on Steam the exposure might wind up being kind of moot anyway. Not to mention Steam has been rather fickle in how they treat adult content. All these adult releases might be okay right now, but I wouldn't be surprised if Steam changed their mind later about allowing that content on their platform. It would be best for Illusion not to put all their eggs in the Steam basket, like Mangagamer and other companies have since they still have their own storefronts.

Anyway, I hope Illusion still releases their other games on FAKKU and doesn't stick to Steam only releases because I don't like DRM on my games. I'd really like to see Koikatu get an English release.

Heck yeah this is awesome!

I was wondering if a Michiking book was ever going to be released. Nice to see that it's happening.
