I do not know about you pspkiller but due too Keiji and him being indecisive about many of his projects. That is why Megaman is in the state it is in today. I mean "Keiji?" The same Keiji Inafune that helped produce that garbage ass Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li movie. The same Keiji that said gaming is dying in the asian market. Yeah he gets no sympathy from me if Keiji wants sympathy for all the double standards he did bofore he left Capcom. He can look in the dictionary between the word shit and syphilis.

You are gonna have to be more specific with how Bomberman killed itself...I mean if you are talking about the adventure versions I understand but it is not like Hudson did not release up to date versions of the classic overhead style of gameplay.
I still disagree taste is only applied too story...I say this because the example you used about your friends taste is petty at best I play both versions of that particular sports sim however the only way those two soccer games differ is in the publisher like the colossal failure that is EA and the somewhat but not ok Konami...I say this because the recent version of each game was a failure in certain ways which I do not want to get into detail about right now.

The other example about a casual gamer playing Megaman and complaining about the difficulty is trivial at best because I got my ass handed too me plenty of time and I never gave up. Look the goal of a video game is simple get points or lose points win or lose live or die if any video game enthusiats worth their salt have a problem with this then maybe that said person does not like gaming that much.

Well, new guy here but after having nothing else to do, here goes all or nothing.

I have been a die-hard fan of Gen 1 Pokemon since it was the first game i got with the big old greyish GameBoy and the Yellow one edition of it.
Nostalgic times...
But I was also a Dragon type fan.So I would have something like this:

1. Dragonite
2. Haxorus
3. Kingdra
4. Salamence
5. Garchomp
6. Hydreigon

Right now I'm kinda torn between selling my European 3DS for a Japanese one or just keeping it... since every game I want is Japanese :(

As for developers, I dont really know of any that need reviving, but support yes. Keiji Inafune's new company can do with some heavy support; I'm always on the side of Mega Man's old man :). Platinum Games and Tango Gameworks would also do with heavier support as they are mostly composed of the legendary Clover Studios staff members from Capcom (Okami, GOD HAND, Viewtiful Joe). I'd love it if they get some heavy action hack and slash games like DMC, Castlevania LOS, GoW, Bayonetta and so on onto the 3DS. And last but not least.... KONAMI. I haven't played any MGS games before, but MGS3 looks interesting :) Castlevania on the 3DS will be glorious even if it continues the traditional 2D gameplay (As long as a game has the name Castlevania slapped onto it I'm more than willing to give it a try). Silent Hill is scary enough in 2D; 3D Silent Hill would probably give me a heart attack, but hell it's worth a little pain to see Pyramid Head in 3D :)

Ok...I will tell you this much look at the Advance Wars series...It went from being a fun unrealistic story driven strategy game to a fun realistic story driven strategy game in the last recent game. What Intelligent System did right was change the tone of that series without making it noticable that the game itself was just as much the same as past entries with more playablity. I could careless if "It is a game that simulates the grittiness of war like a war game should be." That is when an identity crisis usually starts up within a series. An example would be the resident evil series and the silent hill series.

You know what is funny about your example get this IGN "the kings of bias reviews" reviewed Infinite Space which is published by SEGA and developed by Platinum Games. Famitsu reviewed that game also and loved it. My point? IGN is full of casual gamers if the first thing you complain about in a game is a learning curve. Now mind you Famitsu always gives Platinum high marks but here is another example.

(I hate this example)When IGN reviewed Lost Planet 2 the reviewer complained about the respawn system and how he could not stop getting hit by the big monsters. Hmm...what is wrong with his statement? Well I can tell you right now this guy did not play the game at all.

Simple solution too dealing with respawns is too open up nodes around the level so you can respawn there and not at the beginning of the level. I saw the reviewer running up head strong too the creatures like he fucking was wearing a power suit like in your typical I am space marine. I aim weapon at middle of screen on targets and make things dead. That is not how you engage the creatures fight them from a distance or get close use your grappling hook on weak spots of creature and shoot while holding on for dear life (that and many other strategies).

Bottom line...It has in my humble(can't believed I typed this) opinion NOTHING too do with taste if that is the case then maybe it is the reviewer skills at playing video games that need work. I have played a variety of games and I never complain about a learning curve. Why? Simple I always anticipate one however as of late video games have become bastardized and I can already figure out the style of a game without reading a manual most of the time.

Remember taste only applies too the story of that game NOT the playability...

Well from what me and many of the gaming armada see that there is indeed many new IP's and that we like and have caught our attention. Now original IP's that have some history and a level of quality that must be met. Look at the new Twisted Metal it has everything the originals have it just does not have anything new too massively separate it from the past entries. We the consumer want both quailty and quantity too justify anything on par or beyond a sixty dollar price tag.

If nit picking means too point out flaws in an IP then SeriousSAM why do we need reviewer then? Those people give out bias unfair reviews too new IP's that did not pay them but give IP's that have paid them off good scores. Hell Famitsu was the last fair review site and now they have become corrupt. Asura's Wrath mind you I thought was fun however it has been shown that Famitsu has been paid off too give a good review of that title.

This is beyond us, games, scores, industry, business, fun, and innovation. It will never be beyond community however what this represents is nothing more then a public announcement.

I miss those games where there is more focus on story then graphics and if it has it, multiplayer. ;~; most games now adays are a bit predictable or just suck completely.

now if you excuse me, I will be playing the games that made me emotional cause of a beautiful story and grew attached to the characters.

Put enough special effects and hype behind a game it will probably sell millions no matter how crappy the game actually is, the game industry is probably just now figuring this "golden truth" out within the last ill say 8 to 10 years its only the fans that are left disapointed, to tell the truth they can probably rerelease streetfighter and just add a new character or two, call it something like "streetfighter super ultra turbo" and for the cost of a some new coding and packaging make a pretty huge profit...shit kinda sucks right now.

See that is the problem with that logic ok understand that the original was a 8-bit game and the new Ninja Gaiden games still have platforming...DmC is not a reboot hell both publisher and developer do not know what to call it I got a name for it "shvacunt". My friend have you heard of Dark Souls and Serious Sam: First Encounter? First, DmC will suck I will list the reasons why it runs at thirty frames per second, it uses that god aweful Unreal Three Engine, it has been shown that the game itself and its environments is a ripoff of DMC2, the director of DMC2 is one of the directors for this game...yawn, none of the combat mechanics are new at all, Dante a.k.a Lonesome Pete all his abilities are ripoffs of Spider-Man, his guns called vice and virtue are a ripoff of a game called Darkwatch, the original director Hideki Kamiya does not work at Capcom anymore, the developers Ninja Theory cannot decide if the game is a reboot, rebirth, or a get this parallel universe. The list goes on...To sum it up the game itself is a bastardize version of the past three games.

It is spelled Namco, they are teaming up with Capcom that is a bad sign I need not mention the bastardize Ace Combat: Assault Horizion with the crappy Dog Fight Mode...That you could not turn off in boss fights

Nintendo stated that for operation rainfall to succeed that people had to buy Xenoblade and if a certain amount was bought then they could get the two games depending on said profit of each sale. That is wrong on so many levels...

Konami then has bad business practices. Who buys expansion packs only for them to shut servers down. (Of course I read the terms you twit) Besides that I do not give a flying monkey fuck about them closing the servers down but the crappy service people in US and EU have been receiving due to the hacking and glitches Konami refused to fix yet the JPN servers kept receiving update after sweet update...That is not fair. You are a perfect example of what is wrong with the industry today. You like everyone say "I don't care what they do as long as the release good games, durdurer."

This industry is becoming as worse as the music industry. Hell I bet money that your ass would support the companies not receiving negative publicity or criticism because it would hurt the companies image boo fuckin hoo.
