In addition, I don't think the prediction of a single match is an accurate protrayal of whom is better at "most things". How about "[Neko-chan/Gambler] is better than me at some things, especially in predicting the outcome of football matches."?

I would think the Christmas parties held by companies could be interesting at times. You never know when you might make a new friend, especially when there are lots of employees from various departments. Then again, not everyone enjoys socialising.

I think we have both seen each other's replies in this thread previously, just that we never got the opportunity to be online at the same time. Fate can work in such unpredictable manner. :)

Well it is rather simple. Both parties bet on the outcome of a certain situation, be it a football game or tomorrow's weather. The winner is entitled to request for a favour from the other party, assuming it is within reason.

Alternatively, one could attempt to place bets using those online gambling services.

Hmm... the conversations in the Cafe appear to rather random today.

I would have to say that this is a very informative economics discussion.

It has been years since I last took any economics-related modules or classes, but I believe the aggregate demand and multiplier effect will have a part to play if the government intends to deduce its deficit. Encouraging consumer spending may be necessary.

Looking at it from a non-economic perspective, I sometimes wonder if politicians from one party oppose another mainly for their own interests. Shouldn't they be working together to overcome problems, although saying it in such simple terms is definitely far too idealistic?

I guess the same goes for all, or most, forms of new technology. They are always extremely expensive at the start, but will eventually become affordable. Examples include television sets when they were first introduced and subsequently mobile phones.

Thank you for explaining it to me in layman terms. Some of my sources are rather technical in nature. :)

Getting back on topic, I don't think I have a favourite candy bar. Anything which is white or milk chocolate will do just fine. :)

To tell the truth, I don't have any bright ideas on how to spice up the Episode Discussion section once more. However, with enough brainstorming, as seen through the ideas put forth, I believe the subsection can definitely reach its potential.

Getting back on topic, I am not entirely sure how these 3D television sets work. At the moment, 3D television and movies require viewers to put on a pair of glasses. However, according to some sources, there are plans to release full 3D television sets, which do not require these special glasses, but are extremely costly for consumers.

Perhaps I should attempt to keep up with knowledge concerning technology...

Getting back on topic, I don't think any anime character has inspired me much in real life. However, I have to admit that the anime series "Saki" did raise my interest in mahjong, especially the Japanese style of play and their winning combinations, which differs from those implemented locally.
