Lol, I thought the over the top bits were funny, meh, guess it has to do with personal preference.

I wake up to music. Music calms my very insides. It makes me want to live more and more. I still have dreams, I still have things I want to do with my life. It is the day that I look at myself and say, "I am nothing but a person existing in this world as a cog in the big wheel of production." that I will simply lie down and say "Fuck it." I mean, I still want to be an actor, and considering I'm 19 and getting my first gig as a re-enacting actor and getting a regular thing going with a small, just starting out production company, I think I'm doing decent.

Without music, I would have gone mad a long time ago. It's a type of power that adheres to the brain directly. It's pleasing to listen to, it conveys a message in a way that almost forces you to listen. It imprints itself onto you.

We all have our own tastes though, I for example enjoy classical piano, as well as Broadway music above all other artforms. I'll still listen to damn near everything, but given the choice, give me Bach's 1st over ACDC's Big Balls any day.

Therein lies the problem, you're thinking material. Materially, no, we don't technically exist, as nothing that is 99% empty space CAN materially exist. It CAN,m however, socially exist on the sscale of communicating with others, affecting others, manipulating objects and the like. That's socially existing. Ghosts exist non-materially, but socially, because there are those who devote their lives to finding and communicating with ghosts, those who watch the shows dedicated to these beliefs, those who think that when their remote goes missing it's a ghost's fault. That's the way in which ghosts exist, through social means, not material. I'm not saying I don't exist. I'm saying I don't exist MATERIALLY. Socially I know I do, I have a family, friends, and I talk with you guys on the computer. That's different from materially existing.

Ahh school...what a bitch. Seriously, things like that always made my day a little bit worse. I actually was in a Political Science class last semester at my college where the teacher did his best to not side with any particular party, but it was KINDA obvious he was a republican. So, of course, wheneverI said a pro-liberal thing, he'd give me a smirk, and everyone in the class would laugh at me. I mean...they even showed a video where a man went around showing the 'persecution of republicans in college'. A documentery made by a former student of the guy. I mean...seirously.

Speaking out of that environment, I can see your point, but at the same time I can see the teacher's point. The writer was clearly stating that, at the time this event happened, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary, and was referred to as simply an incident, while now, as the teacher would say, it would be considered a major action in life that made the life of this man or woman that much more hard. It depends on how you look at it...still...a class that just laughs at you when you present an opposing opinion annoys the hell out of me.

If anyone's getting royally screwed concerning internet access, it's the chinese. You know that China is going to start banning MMORPG's for Chinese citizens? Why? Because things can be said on there that aren't censored that they want censored. For instance, say someone hops onto World of Warcraft, then someone in the Trade Channel goes, "china sucks! communist assholes!" Well China can't protect against that...it's a foreign person who they don't control and cannot legislate what they are and aren't allowed to say. Since this is beyond their control, they're just cancelling the idea altogether. It's bull, and I feel so sorry for those yellow skinned commie sonsobitches.

We've all been there. We're minding our own business when someone we barely know comes up to us, because they heard about our particular religious belief and go, "It's a shame you don't believe in so and so, because he/she/it/shchlee is the one true whatever-the-fuck."

The most common of these D-bags are the Jehova's Witness motherfuckers. These guys will actually take time out of their lives to go door to door telling people to convert before they get sent to hell. That's rediculous.

Now, I'm not saying having a religion is bad. I mean, go ahead, have a religion, that's cool, but...don't drag other people into it, you know?

My friend's girlfriend came home crying yesterday, she's 17, i think i should clarify, because some guy just paid her 2 dollars for one of her art projects, stating, "It's too bad you don't believe in god(she's Theist Agnostic)Because he blessed you with such artistic skills, if you prayed to him he'd make you better. Instead, the devil will claim your soul in the end, and all those talents will go to waste."

Now, my friend isn't exactly...articulate...so his only idea was to find the guy and punch him in the face. Instead, I offered my advice on things to SAY to him next time he says something like that, most were harmless, the usual brush it away, take it in stride, pretend you're listening. She didn't want to hear any of that though, so I shrugged and told her the next time he says something like that, stop him mid sentence and go, "Hold on one second, it's time to pray." Then kneel down on a nearby carpet and begin spouting off made up Arabic words, to mess with him.

What would you guys advise?

I like to compare the hatred everyone has for the United States to the hatred many comics feel towards Dane Cook.

I believe it was said earlier that, us being such a young ambitious country, have basicaly become a superpower overnight in Country Years if nothing because we just went out and did everything we could to become gigantic. Older, experienced countries in Europe see us as the Country version of Dane Cook, and they're all the older, experienced comedians with intelligent material who don't get the same recognition because Dane Cook is edgier, appeals to the young crowd, and is younger and handsomer. Yeah, statistically we're fucking retarded, so the question the European countris have towards us is the equivalent to "Why do people think he's funny?" But more, "How did they get so strong?"

...I think I explained it...yeah I believe so...end statement.

For those of you who don't know, Pat Robertson is the spokesperson for the 700 club. you know, that old guy that's always on TV preaching that god is watching you so donate to his cause.

Anyway, after the tragedy in Haiti, Pat Robertson went on the record as saying and I paraphrase, "The people of Haiti got what was coming to them. Their ancestors made a pact with the devil to drive out the french, and so now God is making them pay for their transgressions."

I dont know the exact quote, but I know that's basically what he said, without twisting words around.

So at first I became annoyed, because this reminds me of Jerry Falwell, whose ignorant ass went on the record as saying, "The reason God allowed 9/11 to happen was because of feminists and women getting jobs and not staying where they're supposed to." Basic same ignorant, "You made god angry, otherwise this would have never happened" logic.


However while I'm angry at Jerry Falwell for being a prick, I refuse to be angry at Pat Robertson. Yes I disagree with what he said, yes I still think it's a monstrous statement to make, but I will not blame him for saying it. According to Pat Robertson's beliefs, God is a good an all knowing being. No GOOD all knowing being would allow suffering without a reason, so Pat merely connected the catastrophe that his god allowed to happen to a reason he felt was plausible. Jerry Falwell's mistake was that he didn't blame the VICTIMS of the attack, but America itself, and then didn't even bother to clarify what his specific beliefs were, at least Pat Robertson had the balls to do that.

Yes what he said was stupid to the vast majority of people, but to those who believe as Pat Robertson believes, this is the true reason he felt God allowed this to happen. Now before anyone gets in my face about defending such an ignorant statement, know that I still think he's a douchebag, and I enjoy looking at the forums of such clubs as "Pat Robertson is a Douchebag" club, which is a real club on Facebook. I'm NOT defending him, I'm merely saying I understand where this line of thinking came from. A lot of people look at statements like these and ask, "How could they possibly think that." Well, I look at these statements and actually answer that very question, "This is how." It's still not right, but it explains everything.

sorry, I know that was just one little thing said in the entirety of the thread but that just confused me a bit.

As for existence? I like to think nobody truly exists, as we're all made up of mostly empty space anyhow. All atoms are 99% empty space, everything in existence ismade up of atoms, thereofre we're all 99% empty space. So...I don't think something that's mostly empty space that that exists. However that's in a material prospect. On a social view, we all DO exist, as we all affect eachother in one way or another, whether we realize it or not(Butterfly effect :P)

So really it's not a question of science but philosophy, which do you rather, would you rather socially exist, or materially exist?

I font trust charts. There's too many other factors that can affect statistics to truly believe in charts that say, "Well look at the increase here!!!!!111111one!!one."

Seriously, Al Gore had a chart that said the world temperature has gone up way more than it ever has in the past EVER according to some little chart, and using TEH MATH SKILLZ, he explained that if we kept going, the entire world wold be DOUBLE its highest temperature in history within one hundred years. Now, Al Gore ALSO claimed once that he could hypnotize chickens. So needless to say, ever since I saw Al Gore use one, I don't like charts.

Ahem. I will be converting to Bayonettaism.

Not sure what that consists of right now, but I'll think of something. I bought the game, which I never do. I'm a renter through and through. The first night, I honestly played for 8 hours straight until i got donw with normal mode. I then, over the next two days, interspersed my playtime to beat it on Hard. I...fakking...love...this...game.

Seriously...I played Darksiders, and while i didnt hate it, I felt meh the entire time i played it. Bayonetta, however, made me want to light several candels around my 360 and bow down, uttering prayers to the Umbra Witches.

Ok, that's overdoing it, but seriously, I agree wit hthe critics on this game, superdy duperly fun on a bun. And I'd be lieing if I didnt' admit part of my love for this game is the massive amount of fanservice, ut this is literally the first game I played that meets BOTH parts of the criteria for an awesome game.


1. It gives me a boner while I play.


2. It's actually fun to play.
