Even now, I didn't have any friends.
Even though I had a lot of acquaintances, I didn't have any friends.
Everytime I exchanged greetings with someone, I was smiling on the outside,
while it was raining on my heart.
I was never going to make friends? I was always going to avoid everyone?
And I only was protecting myself from being deeply related to others.

But now, I want to open up a little more to others.
I want to try calling over the people I love,
It will be all right if we fight.
It will be all right if we hate each other.
But if I can meet a true friend that will always thin about me,
I think that we will surely understand each other.
If our feelings continue to touch each other, we will understand each other.

When I manage to feel these feelings,
when these feelings manage to inspire a friend of mine,
then we will be able to become true friends.
And we will be able to taste the happiness of being alive.

I want to live for these people, I want to devote to those people.
I never thought about these things.
Whenever I spoke to the people I saw, it was mostly lies... right?
I thought about what I should if I needed to sacrifice myself.

But, that doesn't mean that I will end doing so.
Because we will be able to make each other happy.
Because I want to share my happiness,
that's why I try to relate with other people.

The world where my friends are is the same as where I am.
The world expands only by the number of true friends you make.
I truly think that if we are able to become friends,
our own happiness will be multiplied by each true friend we make.
So, because the happiness of my friends also becomes my own happiness,
the world will become filled with happiness,
and the happy times will increase a lot.

3753 (Luca's Age: 0 years) - Born as the only daughter of Arshe, the 32nd Maiden, in Enna. True name: Cloche Leythal Pastalie.

3754 (Luca's Age: 1 year) - Arshe is assassinated in Alfman's conspiracy. Luca is taken by Batz and Reisha and both run off with her, beginning their life of running away from Alfman. To hide her social status as the daughter of the priestess, they rename the child Luca Trulywaath.

3756 (Luca's Age: 3 years) - The Trulywaath family end their life of running away when they settle down to live in Mint Block. In there, the little sister, Reika, is born.

3758 (Luca's Age: 5 years) - Reika has identified an IPD outbreak, and is contained by the Grand Bell.

3760 (Luca's Age: 7 years) Reika is renamed Cloche Leythal Pastalie, and is appointed as the 33th Maiden at the age of 5 years.

3766 (Luca's Age: 13 years) - Dives for the first time at this time, and shortly afterwards, departs for Rakshek to begin working as a Dive Therapist.

While she is the legitimate descendant of the Maidens, her mother was assassinated, and was raised as the adoptive daughter of the Trulywaath couple. because they were very poor, they didn't have much money to spend, and this was part of was formed her personality of having to do everything with her own strength, no matter the costs. She is extremely clumsy both at cooking and sewing, though she also has a pretty unique sense for the things she makes.

Luca's poor, yet happy family was completely broken once her little sister: Reika, had an IPD outbreak. In front of her own eyes, her beloved little sister was taken away by the Grand Bell, while her father was killed off, and this left very deep scars inside of her little heart. Luca's family had always economic problems because having to hide her away from the public, and from running away from the Grand Bell, but things only got worse once the family was reduced only to mother and daughter. These feelings were what made Luca pledge to herself since she was very young that someday she would go to Pastalia, to free herself from this harsh life, and to rescue Reika. In addition, Croix also became an orphan because of an incident related to the IPDs. When Reika had her outbreak, Croix's mother also had an outbreak, and killed her husband, killing herself in the process. This is why Reisha adopted Croix, as a way of atonement for what happened with Reika.

While she was healthily raised with Croix, Luca was a girl who was always looking in the direction of the faraway Grand Bell. Croix, seeing this, then made an habit of repeating to Luca "Once I become a knight, I'll take you to the Grand Bell", in order to cheer her up. Actually, since Croix was pretty skillful with a sword, he made his goal of becoming a knight for Luca's sake. Eventually, Luca awoke as a Reyvateil, but before that happened, because of how clumsy she was, she never lasted long in a part-time job, and wasn't able to earn much income. However, once she awoke as a Reyvateil, she was able of doing jobs that would pay much better, and Luca felt this as a blessing from the heavens. This is why she was able to earn enough income to pay for Croix's trip to Pastalia.

Even among the jobs that only the Reyvateils could do, Luca was interested in one in particular, which was inviting people into her own Soulspace to heal them: that is, Dive Therapy. The acquaintances she made during her part-time jobs thought this was a sublime enterprise when she said she had become an apprentice to a Therapist. While there were many days in which she ended vomiting after the Dives because of how hard was the training to tamper around her own Soulspace, Luca's will was strong, and did the best she could to bear with the training. Luca couldn't wait until the day in which she became the most famous Therapist in all of Rakshek arrived. However, she felt that the best way was to stick to being humble. While she received many bad images from her jealous senior Therapists, up to the point where she wished to kill herself, Luca built many relationships with the people that actually liked her. Of course she still had her natural personality, but the thing that supported Luca more than anything else was the decision of making a lot of money through this job.

Once she became 14 years old, she started going out in dates with her childhood friend, Croix. Since they were very good friends from the start, immediately everyone officially recognized them as a couple. However, Luca never did harbor any feelings of love for Croix. At this point in time, the feelings that Luca had for Reika had gotten so intense that she couldn't continue containing them, and so, she was unable to harbor any love towards anyone. She wouldn't be able to go to the Pastalia without the proof of right of residence for it: the [Nero-Plate]. However, only the wife and children of a Pastalia resident are eligible of obtaining one, and because of this, Luca, to go to Pastalia and search for Reika, conceived the idea of using Croix. Because he was the closest person to her, and as her boyfriend, he wouldn't complain about doing this... that was the seed that her cold and calculating mind made.

While she was able to reduce the suffering of her family thanks to the income she had from doing Dive Therapy, she also began saving to sponsor Croix's journey to Pastalia, because she herself wouldn't be able to go there, no matter how much money she saved. Luca thought that it was only a fantasy to think that she would be able to receive the Nero-Plate now, because that only over 100 people are eligible for receiving it, and given that her family was poor, no matter if she had any special qualities, she wouldn't get it. Then, she decided to gamble everything on Croix. His fighting prowess was far better than anyone they had met so far, and if Croix was able to become a knight, Luca would be able to enter Pastalia as his fianceé Luca said to herself that it was the only way in which she could look for clues on Reika's whereabouts. And so, Croix did his best in fulfilling Luca's expectations, and passed the knight tryouts as an exceptional boy.

Luca dedicated herself to becoming a highly successful Dive Therapist in Rakshek, and the other side, Croix, working and studying abroad as a Knight, managed to even surpass the expectations that Luca had put into him, and had even grown into a person that the other knights had high respect for. Thus, Luca's dream of going to Pastalia was realized in an ideal way. Filled with excitement, she reunited with Croix. And while she traveled together with Croix and his friends, she learned about many things, beginning with the fact that she was the legitimate successor of the Maidens of the Grand Bell, as a descendant of the [Maidens of Homura]. And while she only treated the other people in a good way as a simple formality before, now she was actually risking her own life, and using her own strength to save others. But the most important of all was that she began fulfilling again her duty as one of the two Maidens that have a mission more important than anything in the world...

The reason why she started practicing it was simply to have a income source, and because she wanted to gain money equal to the effort she made during the work, so when Luca awakened as a Reyvateil, she thought "Great!". This was because as a Reyvateil, her worth would greatly increase. However, that this happened also brought to her a problem, a terrible trait unique to the Reyvateils: if she didn't receive the doses she needed of the life extending agent, she would die, and had to grow accustomed to live with that inconvenience. However, she didn't have too much trouble with it, given that the government in this region guarantees a lifelong supply of Diquility (life extending agents) to even the poorest Reyvateils. Once she began enduring even this crippling suffering, Luca began having dreams that were greater than the ones a normal person could have, since she was a person that didn't get any kind of support. While she had natural ability for this, she had to make a lot of effort to achieve it: she finally became an extremely popular Dive Therapist in Rakshek. Luca became a positive influence for the people, and was praised by the people as an extremely pleasant Therapist. One of the main characteristics of Dive Therapy is that everything that happens within one of its sessions is completely under the discretion of the Reyvateil, which means that sometimes indecent things can happen, but Luca has settled in stone that she would never do something like that. Also, while she could opt to act sadistically and cruelly to release all of the stress she has pent up during her life, she doesn't do that. Luca's concept for Therapy is of the healing kind: such as letting the customer lie over a field of flowers, showing it a beautiful sunrise, or inviting it to a sea of fantasy... making it so well that many of the customers end saying that they don't want to go to the real world, which can pretty much sum up how healing is the world that Luca made. The reasons for doing it like that are extremely simple, and it's because she doesn't want that her social relationships end getting worse. For example, if she disagreed with the customer in any way, she would be talked behind her back in the town, and in the end, everyone would hate her. In a healing ambient, she doesn't need to say that kind of things, since she is just making sure that the customer is having fun or being comfortable in a safe zone, and that it returns to the real world safely. And Luca acts like that only to be able to obtain her daily income. While she says "I don't want to get close to anyone", she also says "I want to be a popular person, loved by everyone" because she also wants to be in a position where she will be envied by the people.

Everything that Luca does and says is rooted, simply put, in "wanting to be pitied while receiving money", which is also the idea upon which her mind is rooted. Because of poverty, everyone that is alone dies. Because of it, even our family has become unhappy. During all her upbringing, she only suffered because of her poor life. Of course, part of this was because Luca's parents couldn't save any money because of having to live running away to keep all of them alive, but also, Reisha used to be the personal attendant of the previous Maiden at the Grand Bell, she couldn't allow herself the luxury of having a job where she would stand out. And the place where Luca's house is located, Mint Block, is an undeveloped land that was called a [cultivated land], and the house being built in there, makes easy to categorize as a very shabby dwelling. Is easy to imagine a hard life in such a place. Having lived in such an place for over 18 years, she has come to pay more attention to the external appearance than to true feelings or ways of thought. That is, in the case of an expression of love, she takes it more as "a love that isn't understood" than a "easily understood collusion". Luca simply doesn't know how to directly make contact with other people, no matter if she's being scolded or talked to calmly. While she always greets everyone with an smile, she only tries to befriend them in a way in which she can get a benefit from, and increase her capital. This is directly tied to the fact that her mind is geared towards gaining more money.

Luca's house is located in Mint Block. After Reisha and Batz spent two years running away from Alfman, they somehow managed to buy a second-hand house here, which as you can see ingame, it's in a pretty worn out status.

For work, Luca wears clothes that are very eye-catching, which no one wears under normal conditions, but this doesn't mean that she does it because she likes it. Actually, she prefers a more simplistic look, and doesn't like excessively ornamented clothes. Even among the many costumes she has, her most preferred one is the bartender- styled Stylishy. Privately, her favorite clothes are a one piece dress for going out, and a T-shirt as her sleepwear.

Luca's room is very tidy. Aside from the bed and Gengoro (the Pepen plush), there are only a dresser and a mirror, and from its extremely simple layout, you might infer that her lifestyle doesn't allow her to buy more furniture than what is actually needed.

Luca is so popular that, whenever she walks around Rakshek, for each ten steps she takes, at least one person greets her. While her popularity comes from her fame as a Therapist, and having many customers per day, she is actually best known as a really "vigorous and good girl", which make her in turn the lovable and energetic Luca. And whenever she goes shopping, she frequently gets an extra because of being "a fine young woman". However, strictly speaking, she has never truly shared her heart with anyone. Since Luca prefers to not have very deep relationships, she hasn't revealed her true feelings to anyone. Because of this, there isn't anyone that knows her in-depth. In the first place, Luca has a personality that easily worries if anyone tries to know her better, and avoids that whenever possible. As for the people that speak with her... while she does think about saying bad things to them, she is abnormally afraid of doing things that would hurt other people. Because of that, even if she talks to someone that tries to bring up a deep topic, she pretends to accept what the people tell her, and shallowly cheers them up. Because of this, Luca hasn't made any friends. This is greatly related to what the people say about her: [Luca is a good girl, but she isn't able of making any intimate friends]. The only person that has managed to see into her true self, and understand her, is Nana, who also has come to grips with Luca's true intentions.

Such is Luca, talking in the carefree way she uses to talk to everyone in Rakshek. However, frankly speaking, her only true friends is Nana.

Luca is extremely self-conscious about her image, naturally because of the kind of job she has. While it's similar to the clothes that the other Therapists wear, and while she isn't in the economic position for doing so, she always wears beautiful clothes, made from high-quality materials and very well-sown. She thinks because of her own experience that the first impression that she would give is the most important thing, and because of that, her personal appearance and smile are her way of receiving the customers. And just because of these two points, she thinks that there's no way she will commit a mistake. Still, because she thinks so much about her image and hairstyle, even if she changes costumes, she basically prefers clothes with a more stylish look. Luca's actual preferences are wearing her hair in braids, and she only feels right at home whenever she wears the Stylishly costume.

What would she do if she could have a life where she didn't have to worry about money? Luca would choose to become a singer, without any hesitation. Since she was a child, it was her dream to go touring around the world, singing in bars. Luca really loved singing, but once her days came to be filled with the worry about receiving enough money to continue living, she noticed that the songs she liked so much wouldn't help her gain any money. The song she loved the most was Reisha's Lullaby, but despite loving it so much, she began doubting of everything once she learned that Reisha wasn't her true mother, and wasn't able to remember anymore the love she used to have for that song. This was because she learned that she wasn't the true daughter of the family, and spent various days unable to get over it.

If any of the relationships she built up were to crumble away, she would be robbed of the scarce happiness she has, and would fall into a deep despair. That is Luca's greatest fear. That is because she has come to fear that anything among the things she has will decrease, no matter if it's something material or mental. Given that she has the approval of others as her main driving force, she isn't able to approve of herself. That is why she feels so high and mighty when she has everyone approving of her. Luca has such a fear because of being somewhat abnormally hypersensitive. In a way, we could say that she has become an slave of her own terror. While this isn't almost expressed at all in the real world, it is hidden inside her Soulspace, which had made her take such a tragical decision of "because I'm always getting everything taken away from me, this is what I have to do".

Nana might be the only I person I could call a friend.

But well, it's just natural, given that she was the first one I ever met. In the first place, because I had built a massive wall between me and the other people, while I had many acquaintances, I never had any friends. That also means that a long time ago, Nana too wasn't more than an acquaintance to me. She managed to break my wall in a somewhat petty episode. Nana and me are colleagues, and also, since we started practicing Therapy around the same time, she also is around my age. Because of that, Ms. Lahr always looked out for us, and always treated us as if we were sisters. If I had to see it from Ms. Lahr's position, both Nana and me were the origin of the income that allowed her to eat, and because of that, I think she really wanted me and Nana to become good friends. But the only thing I noticed from my own position is that Nana was pretty lousy at the Dives, because somehow I got the feeling that she didn't have any sense of decency around boys, which gradually seemed to be making it impossible for us to become friends. We weren't even able of talking honestly to each other because the Therapists considered each other only as business rivals. But despite these social conditions, both Nana and me began counseling each other before we noticed, we began knowing each other better, and our relationship finally reached the point in which we were encouraging each other. Then, we started doing girlish things together. We went many times to do window shopping and try out clothes, and we even said things such as "I want these red shoes" at time we went looking at the shoes. These were very fun days.

But, they didn't last for too much time. At a certain time, a request for a certain difficult kind of Therapy was addressed to me, and it said that it would require a Proxy Dive to be performed. This is a skill that is said to be extremely difficult to pull off within our business. Though I was very uneasy about it, while I was working at night with Nana, I challenged myself to study about how to perform a Proxy. And then, the appointed day came. I performed it as effectively as I could, and the Proxy Dive ended in success. That day, both Nana and myself were rejoiced for the success.

The story about my success then spread throughout all our business, and I ended joining to a group of Charismatic Therapists. Ms. Lahr also was overjoyed, as if I had opened a market for her or something. But, from that time on, I began to be worried about something. Nana began acting as if she was in other place or something. Of course, we still talked normally as colleagues, but she didn't want to study anymore about Therapy with me. And furthermore, it seemed that she was asking Ms. Lahr about something. It was an small shock to me that I was thinking about someone else instead of myself, and from that time onwards, I occasionally failed when performing Therapy. However, these failures somehow left me feeling good, but that wasn't something that could continue happening. For my own life, I didn't have more choice than to keep climbing up to higher and better heights...

But later on, I began thinking that it was typical that Nana was the cause of it, and that was okay. But she wasn't a Charismatic Therapist too... These two conflicting emotions began revolving within me, and I wasn't able anymore to decide what I'd do. I isolated myself My only confidant was Nana, and I was worried because I couldn't settle this down. And at certain point, I got ill, and
had to stay in the bed for the day.

And at that precise time, it had to happen. The event that was like a deathblow to me. Somehow, I had heard a conversation, and it was about Nana failing at a Proxy Dive, and being left unable to return to the real world! I didn't let the heaviness of my body stop me, and went to the Dive Shop as fast as I could. I rushed in, and there, I saw that the customer for which Nana performed the Proxy had already returned to reality. However, she didn't regain consciousness. Why this had to happen...? Anyway, I wished to help Nana from the bottom of my heart, and fully aware of the risks, I Dove into Nana. Nana was on the very verge of getting her mind and body Jacked Off (permanently disconnected)... And when I finally thought I had found Nana, her vitality was being sapped, and she didn't have much time left.

"Nana!! Nana, please hang on!!"

"...Luca... ahahaha.... so you have seen it, huh? I look so badly..."

"This isn't the moment for saying that! Why did you try doing so rash!?"

"Rash... oh, the Proxy Dive... it was because you did that one yourself... or maybe because you wanted to tell me that I didn't have yet the ability needed for it..."

"T-that isn't it!"

"No, it's okay... because it's true... and since it's true, it was impossible for me. It's so unfair that I can't, that I should be a human..."

"Of course not! If you continue trying the best you can..."

"You say it so easily because you don't even think if you're able of doing it or not. You don't know the feelings of the people. And I don't want a person that only has fun in the work and doesn't know what troubles are to tell me that!"

"Uh... but that's... because I..."
"...?"

I might have been because I was in a very bad shape. I was being unable to convey my feelings correctly. I had to collect all of the painful experiences I went through my life to reach the appropriate amount I had to convey to her.

"Because I also have suffered more than what you think!!"

"Huh!?"

"Just because I don't show my problems, that doesn't mean that I don't have any! I was always worried about you, because you seemed to be always in other place... I was always so worried about you... I though it'd be okay to leave the Charismatic Therapists only if you were the one to take that title away from me..."

"That... doesn't mean that you thought it..."

"No... I really thought that. If I became a Charismatic Therapist, my wages would increase... and I'd be finally able to say goodbye to poverty... but that didn't make me stop worrying. But it was because other reason: if you left me alone, I wouldn't know what to do anymore.... that's why I wanted to continued being with you... so please... let's go back..."

"...These are only words. If I was to be saved, that wasn't no more than a one-sided way..."

I was getting worse, and wouldn't be able to keep myself in the Dive for much longer. I thought it a that moment. However, my consciousness grew so hazy that I don't know what more I could have said.... but I couldn't continue being stand up...

"Luca...? Hey, Luca? You... have such a high fever... what happened to you!?"

"I-I'm sorry.... I'm okay... it's nothing..."

"It's nothing...!? You have such a high fever! You shouldn't Dive while you are sick!! Why you did something so dangerous!?"

"Because... because..."

"I like being with you..."

"Huh!?"
"I don't like being alone... and I don't want to be alone anymore... so please... let's go back together..."

"Luca... you... you went through so much danger, just for me..."

"Please... let's go back... together..."

"Luca..."

"O-ok... if you insist so much... I thought I'd die here, in peace... but since you have brought me in your way against my will, I won't let myself die to respect your feelings!"

"...E... hehe..."

"Don't begin "Ehehe"-ing me now. Stupid... If you're as weakened, and I can't bring you back with me, you won't be able to go back by yourself. You're beyond reckless, huh...?"

And thus, Nana was returned safely to the real world. But it was decided that she needed some rest, so she was hospitalized. As for me, my condition got so worse after that, that it was a complete mess to send me to the hospital... which, oh dear, meant that all the earnings I got recently disappeared into hospital bills... but at least it allowed me to save Nana, which I think was a good result. And that is because there is some more to this story.

After that, both me and Nana became even better friends than what we were before. And also, Nana, in way of having me her thanks and apologies, went and bought the red shoes she knew I wanted so much. Yeah, these are the same shoes I'm still wearing today... and she bought me them with the money she had worked so hard to earn, which makes them a treasure packed with her feelings. These shoes are for me very special and precious things.Now that I think that, that was the very first time I actually talked honestly to other person. And also, what showed me the hardness of honestly being concerned by other person, and at the same time, the joy of knowing someone deeply. I thought that it'd be fun if we could make friends with many people in such a way... and while I haven't been able to make many friends with these feelings, there's no mistake that it also was what allowed my to deepen my relationships with Skycat, Lady Cloche, and other people. And now, Nana is my best friend.

Nana, I hope we can always continue being friends!

While Luca is lovable and behaves well around other people, she has built an unusually thick wall around her mind. This wall was as a consequence of thinking that she "doesn't want to get involved with anyone". Her excellent Dive Therapy skills allowed her to unconsciously make things as impossible as "letting the people go to strata that her mind doesn't allow yet", so the people doesn't hate her. However, upon allowing such a kind of entry, that also causes a distortion that could end in a mind collapse, thus rushing herself and the Diver in a very dangerous situation. While her thoughts of "being afraid to reveal everything about herself" and "being afraid of being hated for not showing anything" normally make a balance, this only gave birth to the worst kind possible of a Paradox inside her Soulspace.

While Luca has many times repressed in a extreme way the interactions with other people, because of how she has to constantly harmonize with the people, there are many things she actually has wanted to say. As a consequence of all these pent-up feelings, her deep psyche has been structured by her extremely pained mind. That was her own method of releasing all of that accumulated emotional stress. Her gentle words all come out from sarcasm and abuse. Words that are as cruel as getting slashed with a sword. While these words sound good when heard for the first time thanks to her saintly-looking smile, you would tremble if you heard them well and understood that she tells them as if she was crazy. The first impression you can get from her Soulspace is that it's world that looks like a cake out from a fairy tale. Because of how much she has tampered with mind thanks to Dive Therapy, it's very probable that the design of the Soulspace was completely done by Luca's conscious self. However, once you step into the deeper levels, you can see how the shape of the cake gradually gets destroyed.

This is the place used by Luca to perform Dive Therapy and entertain her customers. While normally this is the only area that is completely open for any person to wander about, not even Luca herself has noticed that the reason behind no one being able to advance on to the next strata of the Cosmosphere is because she herself functions as a security valve of sorts for it. When Croix came into this level, Luca only performed the typical healing services she does for the customers that come for Therapy, such as a "game of tag", and "letting him lie on her lap".

This is the world that reflects how deeply it influenced her psyche having done a Paradigm Shift out of fear of Croix hating her. However, given that she rejects the idea of opening her heart to other people, the world ended changing its shape into a very narrow and cubical form. And furthermore, before Croix wished to unite his heart with her, two Lucas: the Luca that doesn't want to be hated by Croix, and the Luca that rejects any invaders appeared. Both Lucas are made from her true feelings.

Here, Luca, acting a great mage, received the complete trust from two towns that were enemies with each other. Because of that, she always tried to keep the trust from both towns by telling lies. This was because she wished to "not be hated by anyone", which was the embodiment of the events she had experienced herself in the real world. However, these makeshift lies later or sooner are discovered. Luca had to convey her thoughts to both enemy villages, the West Village and the East Village, and had to honestly reveal these lies herself.

Because she met a hotblooded man called Dual Gem, Luca received the mission of protecting the world. That abruptly imposed mission was born out of the unreasonable demands that the customers asked her, and out of the envy she got from her senior Therapists. Also, Cloche appeared here as the senior soldier, under the name of Conceited Soldier Viole, which also shows how much she truly compares herself to Cloche.

Since Luca didn't want to show any part of her mind that was deeper than this, she set many traps in her Cosmosphere to hide her true feelings. While Croix managed to save Witch Luca and escape unharmed, he had to abide with the suggestion of the Luca of this level of competing against her in a game. If Luca was the victor in this game, you would see her getting Cloche into an extremely offensive posture. That was an expression of how distorted and pained her mind is.

In this world, where the land had collapsed, Luca was called a "Perfect Being" by the people, and was zealously supported by them. While that belief was so aberrant because of the intensity it had, this only was the explosive result of how much she wanted the people to love her, and how much she wanted to be respected. However, since no amount of respect would ever satisfy her heart, that ended only enlarging the gaping hole that was inside her mind.
