As GoodDay said, I really wish you luck. Dont get us wrong. I mainly Sup and Jungling, but after a lot of games in Silver, I realized it is extremelly difficult to win games by playing Sup, even if you are DuoQ, since some other lanes might (or not) fed. Your lanes can be lost just by having worse CS or Teamwork or simple not getting objectives like Drakes, Baron or Towers.

The reason behind being so important to not play as Bot in DuoQ in those Leagues is because people are still learning the basics (yeah in Silver too) and they trend to think that Kills is over everything else, which is not the case at all. It does not matter if you are a ProPlayer playing Sup or not, you can't carry games by being Sup or ADC and you simply can't (ok, it is very difficult) because if the enemy team focus you (can happen even in those leagues) and they shutdown you, they can turn the game in their favor.

However, if you play as a Top / Mid / Jungler, you can normally carry games due to those type of champs being able to make a lot of kill streaks and win games. In case the enemy team decide to focus you, you are more likely to survive a 1v1, 1v2 even 1v3 than an ADC.

Forever stuck in Silver V, whoooooo. The best part is that so far, it's been through no fault of my own. An afker here, a troll there, a proxy farming Singed. It's like, I thought ranked would be better than normals, but no, no. Absolutely wrong. Ranked is so much worse.

For what I have seen so far, when playing Duo, the best option is to take Top & Mid or Top & Jungle or even Mid & Jungle and forget about Duo Bot. Why? Because, as you said, you can literally obliterate bot lane, but remember you are a Sup and an ADC and if your team lacks a Tank and/or APC or Assassin, then there is no way your team will win, let alone if they fed their opposite lanes.

That is why is better when playing DuoQ to take Top, Mid or Jungle positions, becuase you can survive enough time to do enough damage to kill the enemy team, even if the rest of your team is bad as long as they didnt feed terribly and stay close to you and you can peel for them.

I am saying this from my low experience and, although I always learn something new I am still stuck in Silver 3 and have been going up and down from Silver 1 to Silver 5. So, just keep playing and getting better, you will eventually climb to Silver.

I just went 8/1/3 against a Jayce/Leona with Cait and then the net game was full siren for some reason and I went 7/3/3 with Varus against Swain/adc Anivia.

Like, wtf. Also, Varus q so op. Sniped Swain through fog of war and wasn't even aiming for him. Sniped Anivia with ult after and then they surrendered. Good times.
