everything that made SSBM really competative was taken out... everything... If you were a casual player then you probably won't really notice, if you were an advanced player then it's really weird.

Of course, if you're like me, and played Smash64 before Melee, the change isn't a problem. I've adjusted once to a drastic change in a game engine, it should be no problem to do it again.

I played some Melee against some guys in this past week, but I've watched so many Brawl vids that I kept screwing up. It was rather embarrassing.

seems to be dubbed in english so no japanese seiyu's tough luck for us all....

Really? That's too bad ... I've heard that a few of the English VAs were bad.
Well, the amount of porn I watch can best be described in a ratio. My hentai-to-porn ratio is 20:1. I don't know if that is what you're asking for though, rukia92.

It's not like they speak during cutscenes or anything.

Like I said, I doubt it will be too bothersome, but even still ... are all the voices from
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPuesnIp0VY
and
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQOEHk9mhbI
really acceptable? To be honest, this is my first major disappointment, mainly because there is apparently no language switch option.

Okay, so maybe I'm exaggerating. Pit's and Pokemon Trainer's voices really annoy me. A single line from some of the other characters are annoying, but all in all I feel they are about what I expected.
Yeah! We're in the final stretch! Unfortunately, it's slightly marred by the English voice acting. I doubt it will be too bothersome though.

/sigh P3 isnt released till the end of this week in the UK, wonder if we will be lucky enough to get this version?

I doubt it, will probly just be the plain vanilla game :(.

Ugh and Odin Sphere isn't out till April 1st (great release date choice that).

Geez last time I checked we spoke the same language as the US, why they take so long to release anything over here, makes me a sad panda.

... !

No Odin Sphere or P3 yet in the UK?!

...

It would be nice if someone in the video game industry explained why things tend to be this way ... The only thing I can think of is how much of a bitch it must be to translate a game several times over while keeping all the Japanese nuances intact.

P3: FES includes the original game as well as the expansion. The very few people, like me, who have yet to buy P3 in anticipation for this, rejoice!
I don't think I've actually cried when watching anime ... but the moments that came closest to that point were:

Pokemon
-Bye Bye Butterfree
-Pikachu's Goodbye
-Gotta Catch Ya Later
-Mewtwo Strikes Back
-Lucario and the Mystery of Mew

Towards the end of Gad Guard

The Euphie scene in Code Geass

Episode 18 and 20 of Gundam 00

The Tachicomas' sacrifice in SAC 2nd Gig

Roy's death in Robotech/Macross

Ending of Gunbuster

Ending of Die Buster

Voices of a Distant Star

Edit: Clannad, episode 8 in particular

Edit2: Code Geass R2, you know what part I mean
I have to say either the Emperor of Britannia or Orange-kun (in ep. 25) from Code Geass. Even with as little screen time as the Emperor had, you still get the feeling like he's been manipulating a lot of the stuff going on behind the scenes. Orange-kun was pretty much unstoppable with Siegfried in the last episode.
