Thank You Everyone!

Hey guys, my internet is finally fixed (sooner than I thought), and I'm extremely happy I'm back again. I really missed Fakku while I was away. I'm also happy to say that this is my 1,000th post, making myself (finally) a FAKKU Elder.

Speaking of Elder, it has come to me that HE left us in the time that I was away. I'm very sad about this occurrence and HE, if you read this, know that you're amongst the members I respect the most on Fakku. You have my deepest condolence about your problems. Hopefully you can sort them out soon and come back. I anticipate seeing you again.

Now onto a brighter subject. July also happens to be my anniversary month here on Fakku. In this year, I've met many new friends and so many people worthy of my respect.

This community, starting from our awesome admins and mods to our users, is without doubt the best online community I've ever had pleasure to be a part of. I'm not very good with words, so in this period of time without the internet I felt like I should do something to show my gratitude to everyone here for the fantastic year I've had, as well as to celebrate my new Elder status.

Here's my way of saying thanks - my first attempt in a scanlation, "[color=#9D0A0A]Endearing with the sound turned off[/color]", by [color=#9D0A0A]Onizuka Naoshi[/color] (who is one of my favourite artists). It's from his tankobon "Lovable" (which was never fully translated).

Doing this, to tell you the truth, was not fun at all. This really makes me appreciate the work the FAKKU translation team has to go through for us. When I finished, I still found it hard to believe the hours that I put in for just 10 pages. You guys have my deepest respects for translating for us. I take my hat off for you.

Everyone, please appreciate their work. I just went through a tiny taste of what they do - and again, it's very unpleasant.

Again, I've never scanlated before (so don't compare me to pro scanlators), and I'll probably never do another translation project again after this. I'm extremely busy with my studies in RL due to Asian parents, as some of you know very well. > < It's just my way of showing some gratitude. I hope you guys will like it.

Remember to go to Mike's commission thread if you want anything translated. He's a real pro and his work is awesome, and totally worth the money. That thread honestly needs to be stickied.

Oh and Gambler, I think this thread serves enough purpose for it to not be moved to IB? :D

OMEDETTO on your elder status! I'm surprised that you became elder in a short while!! I was here longer but I'm not even elite! (ok, that was off topic a bit)

anyways... you did really great on that manga, how 'bout working for FAKKU as a scanlator (oh! you said you were busy, nvm...) amazingly good job! I'll +rep when I can!

Anywho, congratulations on hitting Elder status. Your posts are always meaningful and whatnot (haven't seen spam from you). And it's quite a feat you actually did there doing a scalation of that doujin, doing it alone at that is even more impressing to me. I applaud your effort.

Thanks for the scanlation, bro. Not too many people have the fortitude to do this, so hats off to those who do. Maybe I'll try scanlating too once my work schedule loosens up.

Thanks for your compliment about my scanlation. I can't work for Fakku because of my studies, yeah...Typical Asian parents, study your head off, get into a prestigious Uni, then get a job with a good income...that sorta stuff. Life is pretty tough. And also thank you for your encouragement. :)

Chapters 1~4 has been translated by SaHa, but he only does things for commission so no one knows when he'll do the remaining ones. You can get it here. So including my one, 5 chapters have been translated in total.

I finished all the set work in Calculus and there was 5 minutes till the bell. Everyone was extremely excited about the Ball on Sat. Then this jerk asked whether I was going. He knew I wasn't but asked anyway.

This is the convo:


Jerk #1: "Yo Ming, going to the Ball?"

Me: "No."

Jerk #1: "Of course you're not. Who would want to go with you?"

Me: "Why would I even want to attend the same Ball as you idiots?"

Jerk #2: "Yeah, who wants you anyway. Just stay home with your cartoon porn."

Me: "I have told you countless times that cartoons and anime are two separate things."

Friend #1: -Whispers- "Hey Ming, ignore those guys. School's almost over anyway."

Me: "Meh, why am I always surrounded by a haze of stupidity?"

Friend #2: "It can't be helped. Oh and have you read the latest chapter of The World God Only Knows?"

Jerk #3: -Shouts- "Oh and now they're talking about cartoon porn again."

Class: "-Weird noises-"

Teacher: "SHUT UP!"

I think you should really take a look at this.

Jeezus, don't these idiots ever have anything else to do than to make fun of someone's interests? It's like the same everywhere you go. Anime and hentai are totally underappreciated and over-stereotyped. The fact that they know about "cartoon porn" in it of itself is contradictory and hypocritical. One day man, you oughta break their nose or two, to show that you're fucking serious. (I don't recommend it, but I wouldn't mind seeing those jerks crying for their mommies by a hentai-loving guy.)



I'm half convinced that the reason why teachers love Asian students is because we're smart and totally respect the teachers and serious about learning. That, and the fact that we jack off all the time boosts our brainpower. (I'm joking with that last statement... but I wonder and it could be true for all we know.)
