Star Wars Clone Wars 3D TV Show

I love Star Wars...I played every Rogue Squadron game.

I love Star Wars. Seriously. OT rocks, the expanded universe novels are amazing (holy shit, Legacy of the Force arc ftw), and sadly about the only books I read anymore.

However, I will not watch this show. Ever. I saw the clone wars movie that came out recently, and it was absolute shit. Everything Lucas touches now turns to worthless dirt. Even most of the PT, though they did have redeeming qualities. I hate the man. He even has to fuck up his best works! Who else raged when they altered Boba's awesome voice in ESB? Sigh, seriously, SW is only good in the games and novels at this point. It makes me sad.

I've tried to watch it, but what I saw wasn't very good at all. Besides, I'm not a big fan of the whole clone wars part of Star Wars history. There are so many other things they could turn into a TV show or movie, so why pick the fucking clone wars?

It's also really weird to see them selling Clone Trooper stuff. Those guys turn into Storm Troopers! Don't make kids like them!

Yeah, but in the time of clone wars many important things happening, and the whole clone wars is important in the SW saga....

All the important stuff was covered in Episodes 2 and 3 and in the first Clone Wars cartoon that Cartoon Network showed a couple of years ago. Now, they're just making stuff up to sell shit.

Think about it - Anakin has an apprentice in this new cartoon, but he doesn't have an apprentice in Episode 3. That means she dies, unless they pull some stupid crap like, she decides to go away and not be a part of the war. Her story is essentially useless because there was no mention of it before the Clone Wars movie; she just exists in the movie and the TV show spin-off of the movie, and after the TV series is through, there will be no mention of her anywhere else.

Even if her story is somewhat important, it's still boring compared to all the other stuff in the Star Wars universe that could be made into a TV series. The time between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, for instance, is ripe with all sorts of great stuff that could make a fantastic animated movie. And what happens after Return of the Jedi is just amazing, and there is so much stuff that involves Luke and the crew, as well as stuff that doesn't involve them at all. So much potential, tossed aside in favor of the Clone War.

I dislike anything that happened before the Galactic Civil War Era, and that includes the Clone Wars. I still love Star Wars, but only the part with Luke Skywalker in it.

A lot of cool Jedi action happened before the Clone Wars, and after the Clone Wars, too. Why not show the action of those eras, instead of dwelling on the Clone Wars?

As I said, all the really cool stuff has already been shown, in the movie themselves and in the Cartoon Network Clone Wars shorts from a few years back. The action in those shorts were far better than anything this new cartoon could offer.
