Tekken Live Action Movie

Well yet another movie based on a video game is being made and this time it's on Namco's most popular fighting game Tekken.Actor John Foo is stated to play Jin Kazama in the movie,him and the rest of the cast are here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tekken the film is stated for a 2009 release.

Any live-action film related to the martial-arts/video games/anime tend to fail. Mortal Kombat, though I enjoyed it, was pretty cheesy. Dead of Alive was cheesy too. And now a Tekken live-action? This is going to be one sector of film-acting that's gonna fail, and fail hard. They tried milking the comicbook series, and eventually that sucked and they milked it dry. Now we see these hollywood producers rearing their heads to another potential cash-cow genre - enough is enough.

when you said comicbook series, were you referring to SPIDER-MAN?! if you did meant SM, I totally agree, the cast of characters alone was a TOTAL FAIL to me! I LOVE SPIDEY BUT I HATED ALL 3 MOVIES!

@hermitVI: Yeah, DC, Marvel, enough. Hulk sucked, Ironman sucked, FF4 sucked, Spiderman trilogy sucked, etc. I thought the X-men trilogy was the only legit shit to watch besides the Batman series.

Not to mention the fighting anime/videogame genre, they're beginning to target the anime sector of live-action! DBZ, Gundam Savior, and now Cowboy Bebop? ARRRGH!!! Stop this madness!!! Only Japan is legit to do live-action anime!

Each time I hear Fighting games turned into live action movie, I have a bad feeling about it. Kinda reminded me to the Street Fighter live action movie... *shivers*

My gf is a big Tekken fan so we'll probably end up seeing this movie. My bet is that even if it sucks it will suck so much it will be enjoyable.

Just in this half of the decade we got Dead or Alive and the reboot of Street Fighter and we'll get Tekken next?
Have they no shame? Should I even bother to have a slight of hope for this film?
