Fallout 3 DLC (Operation: Anchorage, The Pitt, Broken Steel)
0
The good people at Bethesda have started releasing DLC for the PC and 360 version of Fallout 3.
1. Operation: Anchorage- You get a distress call from a group of Brotherhood Outcasts, and you must help them get into an armory by completing a simulation of the liberation of Anchorage, Alaska from Chinese communists. You get plenty of cool stuff for this quest. I've played through this DlC and it was pretty fun. I'd recommend it.
2. The Pitt- You find yourself in irradiated Pittsburgh, in the middle of a slave fighting ring owned by Slavers (what a twist!).
3. Broken Steel- Little to none is known about this DLC, but it's not hard to guess it will have something to do with the Brotherhood of Steel.
So, what do you guys think about this new DLC? Is it worth it?

I heard from someone that Operation Anchorage was pretty fun. :)
Wouldn't know myself. Microsoft has issues with my card. >.>
Also, weren't they going to release a higher level cap? :?

Fuck yeah. 8)
But will that be coming with one of the downloads? Or is it just a thing on the website? >.>

I believe I read somewhere that Broken Steel sees you becoming a member of the Brotherhood and helping them destroy the last of the Enclave.

Yeah, what they said. Broken Steel is different from the rest of the DLC, in the sense that it adds on to the main quest instead of being a side quest. They released the higher level cap so the XP you gain during broken steel doesn't go to waste.
I can't wait to see the new perks.

No, you have to buy it through the Live Marketplace. So, I think that limits it to PC and 360 only. :/

So is Anchorage worth the price? I was thinking of getting it but I am still slogging through some other games.

oh and some tips (spoilers)
broken steel is meant to be a patch for the crappy ending of fallout 3
so your supposed to install it right when you finish the game. (save game when your in the chamber about to activate project purity)
if you install it before getting there your game will have some bugs
3 known (for sure) examples are
1) when you clear project purity of super mutants and you go outside to tell your dad its all clear. if you go in right as he goes in, he will not move away from the door.
2) when your suppose to ask Rothchild about vault 93. if hes not already standing by the map he too will not move.
3) at the end of the game when your with sentinel Lyons. instead of letting you go inside, she will just repeat "we should make sure to clear the area of enemies" or something like that.
oh and a side note
if you have your radio on while tuning into GNR, 3 dog will go on about the purifiers sending out caravans (even if you didn't finish the game).

I had the original Fallout 3 package, but then sold it to game stop so i could buy Fallout 3 GOTY for the same price. It has a second disc with all the add-ons which can be used to install on multiple consoles. It's worth the price of the original due to all the add-ons being on one disc, plus the case is cool.
