So, following on the rousing success of Dragonball Evolution, Hollywood has decided to make not one, but two live action films based on anime series. Their choices du jour? Ninja Scroll and Full Metal Panic.

The news in itself isn't that bad, except that they've decided to get get Zac fucking Efron to play the part of Sousuke Sagara. Not even Sean Connery can save that movie now.

Two bucks says he starts singing and dancing (badly) about how he's a soldier and has no emotions.

Well, at least Leo wants to cast SMAP for lead roles in the Ninja Scroll movie.

It's bad enough there doing DBZ and Cowboy Bebop,but now there doing FMP.America is just trying to destroy good anime series to piss us off.

Tell a better story with better characters, settings, and music than just about anything Hollywood's put out in the past 5 years? :P

And four problems with doing it with ZacH Fuckwrong:
1) Anime fans won't watch it, because it's a live action version of a good series, bound to fail horribly.
2) The girls (and few creepy guys) that come for ZacH will probably be put off because of the material in the show itself.
3) The ones that aren't put off by it will become the next wave of narutards, doomed to destroy all the Otaku hold sacred.
4) Where the FUCK are they supposed to hide the Harisen?!

So much bad news.
Ninja Scroll could work, possibly... I don't have much hope, though.
I'm more worried about DiCaprio's planned Akira. As for FMP, just thinking about it hurts.

Also, I just read about Disney's live-action Kiki's Delivery Service.
I guess it's old news but, I had no idea.
Really Hollywood, fuck you.
