Castlevania : Lords of Shadow

In associations with Kojima, this might be the first good 3D Castlevania. We can see in the trailer the typical Kojima style to give the names of all voice actors in the opening credit :3 (or trailer)

I have very high hopes for this. As you said this could be the first good 3D Castlevania. The trailer and little game play footage we get looks very promising. Here's hoping we can do better then Castlevania and Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness for the N64. Both of those titles were awful.

this just doesn't feel like castlevania to me, symphony of the night really was the best and i haven't played another castlevania game that could match up to it.

Both of those titles were awful.Don't forget there was also Castlevania: Lament of Innocence and Castlevania:Curse of Darkness. Now for the trailer it does give a "God of War" and "DMC" likeness to it, but then again how many other games have we not seen try to go there.I think it looks interesting I'll keep my eye on this one.

However I'm giving this game the same anxiety I ahd before getting symphony. I have high expectations for this game and hope that some old characters appear in the story lines or maybe even as kameos.

I'll admit I had fun with the Castlevania where you had a demon pet that evolved depending on which weapon you used... I think it was Curse of Darkness. While this games doesn't give the Castlevania feel(even the bad ones still felt like Castlevania), it does look like it'll be very good. WHY DO YOU HAUNT ME NEXTGEN CONSOLES?

"Your words are as empty as your soul! Mankind ill needs a savior such as you!" Addictive game there, Symphone of the Night

Best Master-San
2010. long wait but worth it.
Yup, it looks like God of WAr or DMC, but I really like the sidescrolling system. and my favorite was maybe Aria of sorrow, and Dawn Sorrow. since you play Dracula's incarnation himself, and has the ability to absorb Monsters soul, to make it your own power.

My favorites were Symphony of the Night and Order of Ecclesia.I just hope the combat and story is real good.

*What is a man!? A miserable pile of secrets? Well enough talk, have at you!*
Lol I can still remember the trademark speeches of the game... even dracula's conversation with his son Alucard...

I have played almost EVERY castlevania besides the ps2 ones (my ps2 is broken). While this is a step away from the usual side scrolling gameplay, I don't necessarily think it's a step back, this might just be the first good 3d castlevania game. Looking forward to it!
