Check out what my wife bought for me as a gift! (she is amazing and randomly buys me hentai on occasion)

Two Ishikei doujinshi!!


Although many of you may have seen scans of these, the books look AMAZING in person. These things are freakin huge!! (they are the first doujinshi I have owned - I have plenty of hentai manga, but these just seem so big comparatively) Larger than US standard comic dimensions these books are almost calendar sized. If you have ever wondered why anyone would want to buy physical copies, one glance would probably convince you. The print quality in these is amazing and far better than any comic book I've ever seen. The colors are incredibly crisp and vibrant, and the lines very sharp. The pages they are printed on are also very durable. Here are some photo samples I took:





Apparently it was pretty hard to track these down, and randomly they were found through a private seller. The Mrs said she paid much more for them than they probably cost to pick up at Comiket or in Japan, but that is expected with a price mark up and extra costs. never the less I pretty much crapped my pants when I got these..I also had to go out and find some over sized slip covers for these so they stay in shape. Holy shit so awesome!! (Just thought I'd share - and if you can buy high quality doujinshi like this in person, do it!)

It's the only physical version there is. The uncensored is essentially a fan manipulation that's drawn over the scan. I'm sure that you know this however. Personally, although I disagree with censorship, I prefer the censored versions of all hentai manga. I'm such an avid art appreciator that I tend to dislike it when other people draw on top of, or modify the original artist's existing work. That's my preference although this is a discussion for a different topic =)

Seen em, have them too on my pc next to the originals and the translated ones. None the less I am still thrilled to own them in person =D

Yeah I think so, the only draw back is they are expensive and take up space..here is another good example, this is what my lady bought me last time (before the Ishikei doujinshi) I mentioned that I wanted it.



The Hanaharu tankobon Shoujo Material. The stories are great and fun to read (actually even better than the sex scenes) and what's even more incredible is that the slip cover is printed on both sides with the outer edge being a colored and lacquered finish, and the inner side is printed with the sketch drawing. This is something that I really appreciated (since I love sketches) and the cover of the book features the sketches of the same two large color pullouts featured in the back. I would have never had guessed from the scans, but owning this is a bit of a collector's item for me. I really love it.

It's amazing to have the physical copies, it's also great fun to show them off to some of my friends who are artists but not aware of hentai like this. Typically they are surprised and then fascinated, haha.



They were new (extra copies) purchased from Comiket, the seller owns a store. Never the less I have purchased used hentai books from book-off as well, which are typically in mint condition. I don't honestly care if some fellow "roughed" it so to speak, I'm hardly a germaphobe so as long as the pages aren't stuck together I don't really care lol.
