A huge chunk of my precious childhood was wasted on RS. I played when it first came out and continued for about 4 years.
RS1 4 lyfe o_Ox; ... when rune was actually SHINY and the world was a much better place without knees.

I played that game for a while and i really sucked. the only thing i was good at was mining and smelting...i made alot of money

the game itself is actually pretty good, lots of stuff to do, but the retarded 13 year old players bring it down a bunch...
but the occasional bug make things very interesting...

Way back in the day my brothers friend offered me like a million gold if I would smoke weed and I never did. Then I quit playing like a week after.
I've never bothered to go back to it but if I really had nothing else to do then I might consider it.

i spent a fair amount of time on it my first year of college. got dull eventually. i think i got my char up to lvl 65ish.

I've played it for while as a free member. Then i quit for a while since f2p got boring. Then now that i have members I'm back again. I'm actually playing while I'm typing this.

I hate Runescape with a fiery burning passion. I've played a little, and all it is is a money gathering Javascript game. People who pay to play it are suckers, at least get some graphics that are worth spending money on.
Sure, f2p is fine, but as soon as you give them a single cent, you lose.
I advise all Runescape people to stop paying if they are. Please don't let something that crap consume your petty cash. At least play WoW, it's slightly less fail.
I'm not flaming anyone who plays it, just voicing my opinion.
On the other hand, if you have a crap computer, and need something to waste your time on, leap for it. I'll be over here, not playing Runescape.

I played it for a few months when I first started college. I think My character was level 60 something. I certainly wouldn't pay anything for it, but it was fun for awhile. I liked that it had crude graphics since it meant I could play it without downloading anything and could even play when I visited parents and only had dial-up. It has a lot of things that could make a good game, just needs small improvements across the board.

Yeah I confess I played it. It some how grabbed hold of my soul somehow. It was unexplainable to how I could play it. I was also a member once for a month. Then shortly after that I quit and have been free since. Sure It had its good points. Hacking into peoples accounts and taking their rare stuff Rune, Dragon equips, etc. Soloing dragons was fun to but really the game was drab and ugly to look at.

You can't even tell the difference between Telnet and Skype.

RuneScape is some really ancient shit, haven't played that in a long time (or any other traditional MMORPGS for that matter).
