it is the scaryist movie ive ever seen
i love horror movies but none of them have scared me since i was a kid
but this movie is a must see for those who love the fealing of fear

What movie... "Paranormal Activity"?

wrong department I think .... this belongs in the entertainment or something like that .....

I've heard good things and bad things about it, but there is so much of the good, that I can't trust the bad.

I really want to see this movie, and I'm glad they made it a nation-wide release. no theaters near me are playing it though, so I still gotta drive at least half an hour to see it, but that's better than not being able to see it at all.

For anyone who wants to see it, I've heard that it sucks with a large audience, because they'll scream and jump at every single thing. So, if you want to see it, it'd probably be best to go during the middle of the day.

I heard it was terrible, but that might have been what someone in my dream said last night.

I'm betting somewhere in the movie they said it was "BASED ON A TRUE STORY."

When I saw the trailer on TV I just have to see it, Also I want to see The Fourth Kind. Honestly I'm not going for the scare factor, but instead I want to watch it for the uniqueness of the filming.

Paranormal Activity is really about the things you don't see. While, it isn't as plausible, you have to admit, there would be some folks out there who'd tell the girlfriend things weren't working out.

It's a pretty good suspense movie, but, it isn't as 'scary' as you may think. It's entertaining but it's pretty good to say the very least.

I would say the highlight of the life of this movie was it's marketing and original budget of ten-thousand dollars.

Think about that for a moment. A movie that was marketed on twitter, using 10,000 dollars grossed in several million dollars in selected theaters. I swear, hollywood needs to give the next directors a budget of 10k.

The movie also got a lot of attention long before it hit theaters. For the past year, I've seen people begging for torrents of this movie, because it did well at a festival or something. Seriously, over a fucking year ago, people were talking about how bad they wanted to see this movie. That's some damn fine work.

I saw the trailer.... freaked me out.

It was alright,not super-great, but entertaining.
If you've seen The Blair Witch Project you basically already know the deal, cuz if you replace the woods with a house and the witch with a ghost it's pretty much the same shit.

But like i said, it had it's moments where the suspense was great.

I saw it, and it was the best horror movie I've seen since I was a kid. It actually scared me, which no other movie has done since I couldn't sleep with the lights off.

That said, I am interested in ghosts and spirits and whatnot, so the subject matter appealed to me, and I have a great fear of sounds in the night. It makes sense why the movie scared me. It is very well-made, the actors do a top-notch job, and it remembers that the scariest things don't appear right in front of you and say, "Boo!"

A lot of movies about ghosts are bad or screw up along the way. Paranormal Activity is the perfect ghost movie because it doesn't. No complicated plot, no big-budget bullshit, no beautiful stars you can't relate to, and no treating the audience like they're stupid. Just creepy stuff.

Side-note: I don't know if I'll be able to sleep tonight. But that's partly because of the movie and partly because my dad told me that the police were questioning people in the neighborhood because someone's been trying to break into homes recently.

Anyways if you have not seen it and you are into the paranormal/ghosts phenomenon i suggest you go and see it or pick it up at your closest torrent site near you.

This movie is about this couple who get a camera and decide to see if they can catch anything thats out of the ordinary, well... it starts to go horribly wrong for these two and it freaked the crap right outta me. Its a must see if your into it.

Not to bad actually lived up to the hype.

I'm a big scary movie buff an paranormal activity delivered just raw terror, good stuff. Just proves what you can do with a good mic and some ok effects and four actors. I had a few issues with some of the things that happened but there just little jabs nothing big. But yeah, I agree with the aftermath of the movie feeling my house is really old so it makes lots of creaks and other weird sounds at night never really bothered me till I saw that movie.

I have to say this is the worst movie I have seen in a while, and I'm not pushing it far to say worst movie of 2009.

How was this scary at all? Me and my roommate watched a bootleg and I still feel like I was robbed.

I kept waiting for it to pick up and actually get a little scary, but no all it was just a film of two people freaking out for an hour and a half.
