[Locked] Artists you've seen live
0
As I'm going to my first gig by a major artist this Friday (Regina Spektor in London), I thought it'd be interesting to see how experiences vary among Fakku members. Sorry if this has been done, but I couldn't find a similar topic.
So who've you seen, where, when and opinions? Or even who will you be seeing? :)

Hahaha, if I told you guys who I saw live, I'd get shit thrown at me and my rep would hit the negatives.
I was little! Like really little! I didn't even stay for the whole thing because I got tired.
I never could afford to go see artists. Though in high school I used to go to this skateboard place in an old furniture warehouse where on the top floor they'd have these half pipes and every other Friday local bands would play. Sometimes they were good, sometimes I didn't bother, depended on the type of music. I didn't stay for the scene kids night. I stayed for more rock versus emo music.

I've seen Rob Zombie twice, Ozzy, A7x(hate them now), Mindless Self Indulgence(with Birthday Massacre), and Dragonforce. Live shows are really fun except for the first Rob Zombie one because it was outside and I had to stand in the bleachers T~T. The other shows were the best because it was in a small venue(House of Blues) and I got to be on the floor. I love moshing and I love the atmosphere of a good show. You know it's a good show when you're pumped for hours after. Live shows are the greatest and you should see them whenever you can.
And I really really really want to see Bloc Party (the only time they were here was with god damn Panic At the Disco) >_<

Seen live: the Strokes, the Adicts, Devendra Banhart, Why?, Final Fantasy, Mountain Goats, and some local bands.
I've been going to a lot more shows recently, most of them in the Los Angeles area, so far they've all been great experiences.
encore at the Why? show:
Planning to see Sonic Youth and Melt-Banana next month.
Regina Spektor toured with the Strokes a while back, I wish I could have seen them play together, I wouldn't mind seeing just her live either.

Geez, some of these artists I would have loved to go see live. Rob Zombie and System of a Down in particular - which both are gone now anyway. Rob Zombie seems to be moving away from the music industry and moving into mainstream movie industry ):
I just couldn't take the mosh pits. I've been in one once while at the the small local concerts inside the warehouse. My friend told me to take my glasses off (she loved mosh pits) and I can't see shit without my glasses (Not even the big E on the eye chart) and I got pushed over into one of the guys I knew at school (Big bear, big scary Marilyn Manson fan bear) and he basically picked me up and moved me out of the mosh pit because he didn't want me hurt. I didn't like it, I couldn't see and I'm 5'0".
After that incident, while at the concerts, I made it a point to sit on top of one of the half pipe things away from the moshes below - it's kind of fun to watch from above though.

At the moment he's like Uwe Boll's slightly more talented and equally exotically named cousin. And yeah, System of a Down would have been amazing. The vocal range and diversity in a single song always amazes me.
As for mosh pits, fucked my ankle up on my lone venture at a local gig, and stayed away thereon. Not really as a result of that, rather I only went in there because I'd never done so before. Although the local metal bands weren't really of the standard to compel me to run at people...

The worst thing that happened to me in a mosh pit is this big fucking bear asshole punched me in the face and some guy headbanged while I was behind him and smacked me in the forehead. FULL FORCE! It's still fun though.

Hmm. I've seen Silverstein, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Everytime I Die, Dragonforce, Hawthorne Heights and a few others. Yeah, I was big on that crowd in high school.
I'd love to see Coheed and Cambria and maybe Killswitch Engage, but other than that I don't really care about seeing concerts.

I've never been to a show before, but I would love to see Jeff Loomis, Necrophagist, Nile, and Behemoth live.
My face. Would melt. So fast...
My head would probably explode too from the sound.
