What's the best DIE HARD movie?

Another one of my favorite series of films, the DIE HARD franchise is a series of great action films, all of which star Bruce Willis as police officer "John Mcclane".
Personally, out of the 4, my favorite would have to be the 3rd. I think that out of all the villains, he was the smartest. I loved how he made Mcclane run around town, ordering him to do whatever it was he oredered, otherwise he'd set off a bomb. That, and the chemistry between Samuel.L.Jackson and Bruce was hilarious. The first one would be my second favorite, mostly because of Alan Rickman. He's an awesome actor and I love the majority of the movies he's in. The 4th one had the best action sequences, by far, mostly due to the fact that it was made in 2007 and with today's technologie and CG capabilities.
The second DIE HARD movie wasn't bad, but it just isn't as memorable to me as the others were.
How about you guys?
DIE HARD
DIE HARD 2: Die harder
DIE HARD: With a vengeance (DIE HARD 3)
Live free or DIE HARD (DIE HARD 4)

The first or third one...voted for the first one since it's what started the whole thing. Such great movies.

Ah...DIE HARD, my favorite series along with Rocky.
First or the third is the best for me too, and voted for the third one. Though DIE HARD 2 left some impression on me with McClane make the plane go "BOOM" with his lighter.

The first one. Though it didn't have the frantic pacing of the last two movies, the Nakatomi(?) Plaza setting was pretty err...claustrophobic and the only movie in which Bruce was locked alone with the bad guys.

I liked the 3rd and 4th one. The 4th movie, Bruce just waxed awesomeness in that one as a total veteran badass kicking terrorist butt.

The original Die Hard was the best it is one of the best action movies ever, there is a reason that it spawned 3 sequels.

I only saw the first and 4th one. I only caught a few glimpses of the 2nd movie, but I don't like watching movies when it's somewere in the middle of the story so I changed the channel. Between 1 and 4, I'd say 1 left the biggest impression, but 4 was still pretty fucking epic.

Honestly my favorite thing about Die Hard 4 was that Justin Long and Kevin Smith were in it. That was the only reason I watched it because I thought the third one was the best. Didn't really think it could be topped. Plus it had Samuel L. Jackson. What more do you need?

By Die Hard 4, Bruce Willis had kicking terrorist butt down to an art form, and he has the time to taunt them too.

If anyone says anything different than the first Die Hard film, they're complete morons. It's that simple.

Well that's what i feel anyway, but that said, i think DH4 was a really good action movie, but it ain't got nothing on DH1 as far as im concerened.

Well, the first to third movies were him against real terrorist while the forth dealt with cyber-terrorists, so Bruce didn't have to face off much against the terrorists. He still got hurt when Maggie Q tried to take them down at the power plant as she did quite a number on him. Though of course, being Bruce Willis/John McClane, he's so badass that he kills her by dropping her and a SUV down the elevator shaft.
