The Book of Eli

Any movie with Denzel Washington is a good movie. XD

But seriously any comments on the movie is appreciated. Oh also if someone posted a thread about this movie already sorry I missed it, I didn't wanta bother searching through all the pages of the section and I read the list and didn't see it so yeah.

I saw a thing about the movie a couple of months ago that made it look interesting. I don't clearly remember anything, but they either said that the movie was based on a graphic novel or was inspired by graphic novels or something like that. But I think what I watched was some Comic-Con thing, so they might have just been trying to tie it into that.

The TV spots don't say a lot about the movie, so I'm not sure if I'd want to pay money to see it, but I am leaning that way. Post-apocalyptic world + a guy with a special book + and a lot of angry mofos that want the book = good time in the theater. Hopefully.

This movie got to be awesome because it's Denzel Fucking Washington

Denzel Washington is one of my favorite actors! Remember the Titans!! Lol.

Damn that sucks... I don't know, I'd just like to think that hopefully once I see it with my own eyes it might actually turn out to be a pretty decent movie despite what other people might say.

Well, it's up from 17% to 45% with Top Critics at 52% and the RT community at 83%.

This movie was religious trash. Amazingly disappointing. Could have been done a lot better in many ways. In essence it seems like if they had Denzel and a post-apocalyptic setting they could make money without bothering to put in effort.

I cant really wait for the DVD release, I know it'll be nice

It makes me think of 'The Road', the name Eli was there I believe too. Well, cant wait to get a hold of it

post apocalypse + action + Denzel Washington...all i need to know is the storyline, i will check the movie when it comes out in theater...8)

Couldn't have said it better myself,
the setting was pretty nice, reminded me of Fallout 3...
but the story was sh*t ...

I found it pretty boring and I have to say I was really excited for it before it came out. Saw it yesterday and was not impressed I actually was barley able to sit through the whole film. I loved the ending laughed my ass off, but short of that it was just barley worth the time I spent watching it.
