Gantz Live Action Movie

[quote:337433d5c0]Hiroya Oku’s popular ero-sci-fi manga series Gantz will be adapted into two CG heavy live action movies, starring Kazunari Ninomiya as Kei Kurono, and Kenichi Matsuyama as Masaru Kato.
The films are set to premiere in Japan in the winter and spring of 2011. Both actors are said to be in training for the action sequences, with filming set to begin shortly.
The adaptations will be directed by Shinsuke Sato, while Watanabe Yuusuke will be adapting the manga’s storyline.
Just who will be playing the various busty female characters the series is well known for is not clear.
The series has previously been adapted into an anime, though it remains to be seen whether the drastic change from sexually tense surreal science fiction horror to bloody special powers battle manga the series underwent will be reflected in the adaptation.[/quote:337433d5c0]

So far the previews look amazing, especially the erotic entrance of Kei. Hopefully they will make more adaptions in the future and stay true to the manga unlike the anime.

That was directed by a Chinese director and Chinese actors. The director even kicked the mangka of dragon ball off set...WTF!?!?!
This will be by Japanese, so of course it will be a better adaption.

Gantz is a manga about a black ball that delights in reviving dead people and having them fight aliens. Few survive the process, therefore it's quite hilarious to watch. Very bloody and gory, plenty of random nudity, and so many character deaths it's almost silly. Good manga, kinda lame anime...but a movie? We'll see.

I doubt it'll reach the level of gorro and gratious nudity fans come to love Gantz for. The Gantz teleporting beam is probably gonna freak the shit outta the audience if its done by the manga style.

It's going to be shit like 90% of the anime to film creations that Japan puts out.

What is Gantz anyways?First, you don't know what K-ON! is. Fair enough, since it's fairly recent. But Gantz?!
Anyways, yeah. I hope they keep it as faithfull as they can to the story.

Gonna, be, gay.
They couldn't do it with anything less than nc 17
but the good thing is
they can fit the ENTIRE plot in the first 10 minutes
then bring on the gorn

I hope the 'elephant explodes out of that dudes chest' scene is in the movie.
I had to leave the room when I saw that part in the manga.
