I can see from your HijackThis log that you are running virus.exe, you should consider doing a virus scan.
This way it will be easier to recognize which problem you're talking about.

If after uninstalling the video driver, rebooting into safe mode and running driver sweeper on your display driver, then rebooting and installing the latest driver doesn't solve the issue then the issue is more often than not a flaw with whatever program you were using when the error occurred. I just had that exact same issue on one of my older games that had a flaw when running with a dual core (or greater) processor. My solution was to set the affinity of the program to only use core0 (right-click the taskbar, select task manager, go to processes tab, find the process and right-click it and set the affinity). The problem is that you always have to do this every time you play the game. You can also edit the program's .exe to always do this with ImageCFG so you don't have to manually do it every time. Make sure to make a copy of the exe first in case it doesn't work (My Sim City 4 game didn't work and I am stuck with manually setting the affinity every time I want to play it).
Remember I made a thread on that before and you said do all that and it didn't work.
Heres my hijack thingy. Want me to analyze it?
There is a few issues. You have some stuff with missing files. I would suggest running a registry cleaner and also clearing all your temp files and what everyone forgets empty your trash can. This wont fix your issue totally but should clean up that hijack report. Also it seems you have some windows issues since WMP is reporting missing files. Have you tried a rollback and when is the last time you let Windows update itself?

Yes CCleaner is one utility that will clean the registry. Personally I prefer Glary Utilities but that is just a preference.

It's strange for a brand new laptop of that magnitude to be acting this way, I see that you're using Windows Vista however.
Windows Vista is probably the worst operating system out there, many IT professionals consider it a failure as the successor to Windows XP and believe Windows 7 is an operating system worthy of that title. Vista is like an Operating System released in it's Alpha stages. Everything from the way it handles hardware, to the way it runs basic applications, is made of fail.
You should take upgrading into serious consideration.

I hate vista with a passion. But will it really work? People with AMD drivers have had the same problem. Also people with Windows 7 have had the same problem as well. How sure are you it will work. Also the link you sent me for the iso for Win7 ultimate I have heard that these kind of things can't update themselves. Does this hold true for this one? And what kind of cd do I need to burn it on?

Problem #1
I am 99.99% sure it will fix your problem.
It will update.
It will run like it's retail.
I am using that exact same install right now.
Just follow the instructions in my PM, if you have a problem after that, send me a private message.
Anyone, at any time, using any Windows OS, can come into contact with that error.
The reason behind the problem is(90% of the time) different for every user. It may seem like other people have the same problem as you, but they don't.
You need to burn it onto a DVD. Anything over 700mb is for a DVD.
I don't know who your source is, but they're definitely wrong about it not being able to update. They just don't know how to make it work. If you ask me in a PM I will explain it more in-depth to you. But I won't clutter this thread with a half a page of writing.

Will DVD-R work?
DVD-R, DVD+R are basically the same thing, so ya, it'll work. -R means it's 1 layer(4.7gb), +R means it's dual layer(9.4gb). Either will work, if your drive supports BD(Blue Ray) that can also be used. - This is what happens when you study for 2 days straight.

Basically +r is slightly more compatable and offers the ability to partially record on the disc without finalizing it but at being more expensive than the -r alternative.

Programming class has taken it's toll on my brain. Finals in two days.
I realize that now, that information is completely incorrect. I was thinking about relative seca terms and code. Where + and - denote the multiplications used (+ being 2x, - being 1x) for repeating lines.
For example if you wanted 4 repeating lines of code it would be ++*CODE*, once the repeating lines stop you use - on the next available line to tell the program to stop repeating the code and then execute them in single orders(it's ancient programming, but we still have to learn it, our teacher is painfully anal about starting from the ground up).
Well, anyways Nach is right on this one, + is just mainly used for media recording, but there really isn't a difference between + and -. - is used by the majority of people.
And if I remember correctly you don't have to finalize a + DVD.

Ok I burned it on a DVD+R disk. Then I put it in and it does nothing
Okkkkkkkk
I applied the crack thinking that would make the cd do what it needed to do. Well I let it restart and well now I can't get it to boot up properly.
Also when it tries to start you it flashes the blue screen of death so quickly I could barely notice it
ok nvm its working. Everythings updating and im moving my programs to win 7
OMFG. Issue looks like its solved =]]]
I'll run a hijack this once I install everything
Ok the problem is still here. I wonder what it is. And it wont let me run an hijack this
My sound was staticy for a bit but then I removed this driver and it was fixed. Problem is that now I have no mic. It was working earlier. I'm going to try to see if it was something I installed.
Ok it seems to be working now. Usually when I watch a video I downloaded it stalls and its shows that message. It looks like it was this program to enhance the video quality (so far.) Also the hijack this is because it cant access host files
Ok it showed up again. Idk why. It looks like it shows up less frequently. The problem is now my mic and sound. If I install the sound driver that installs the mic and RealTrek or something it shows the mic. But the bad thing is that my sound starts to go static like. If I remove it, it goes away but my mic usage goes too. Also the sound goes back to normal besides alil clicking noise every now and then.
Tried playing WoW and it wont let me. Here is what it says

For notebooks you should probably download your drivers from the manufacturers website rather than through Windows Update. The integration of the hardware can be touchy with drivers.
Asus Downloads page
After doing that, you may want to try installing RivaTuner to check your GPU's core temperature. Your system may simply be overheating. Fans can come out the package dead.

Yeah thats what I'm thinking as well. Either its overheating or its not getting enough power to the card. Speedfan is a bit easier than Rivatuner for finding what your temperature is as thats its primary function. Once you run speedfan after installing it will detect all your fans and temperature sensors and display them. You should see its temperature there listed as GPU as well as other temperatures. If you don't understand celsius temperatures go into configure and the options tab and change it to farenheit.
Tell us all the temperatures it shows after you've had the computer running for about an hour.

I'm just guessing from the PMs Spice gave and you mentioning you had to migrate your programs over that he had you install a new (and probably illegal) version of Windows right? If so you should understand that when you do you should reinstall your video drivers so they work right. Do what I said before again and this time with the latest driver version for whatever your operating system is now. I'll make it easy. Copy this to a text file on your desktop or print it as you'll be in safe mode without networking.
1) Download a few things first. Get Driver Sweeper and your latest graphics driver for your operating system and have them ready on the desktop. Don't run them yet.
2) Uninstall the existing graphics driver in add/remove programs or programs and features in the control panel. If it asks to reboot choose no. If you don't see it or aren't sure just skip to step 3.
3) Check to make sure your display adapter driver is uninstalled and deleted in the device manager - open device manager by right-clicking computer from either the desktop or start menu and selecting manage and then choose device manager on the left. From there expand display adapters and right-click the adapter if its there and choose uninstall. If it asks to delete the driver software choose yes.
4) Reboot into safe mode. Easy way to do this is go to start then run and type in msconfig (If you don't have the run command, right-click the task bar and choose properties and in the start menu tab choose customize and scroll down until you see "Run command" and check the box beside it). Navigate to the boot tab and check safe boot with minimal selected and after hitting OK/Apply reboot.
5) Run Driver Sweeper. Open it and choose Nvidia - Display and ATI- Display and click analyze. Wait a few seconds for the list to pop up and then choose clean.
6) Boot normally (make sure to go into msconfig again and uncheck safe boot first before you reboot).
7) Install the graphic drivers.
8.) Reboot for good measure and tell us how it went.
