You play the role of a man named Daniel. Remembering little to nothing of his past, he finds himself in an old castle, where he finds out he's being hunted. He doesn't know by whom or why. All he knows is that he needs to escape. His memories will slowly return as he explores the dark hallways for a way out. However, Daniel will find danger in both the castle and within himself (if you recall him lighting a lantern in the video, he needs to have it on in those dark areas or his mind will start to play tricks on him).
No weapons. No means of defense, other than relying on your wits in order to survive.

Quite scary looking and I support the idea of being defenseless as something that a Survival Horror must be. But for me Fatal Frame still takes the trophy.

This looks great. I'm a complete wuss when it comes to horror games, but this looks like a really good game. Just like Hentanize, I would really enjoy watching someone play through this.

I would play this game, but in the psychological choice of "fight or flight," I'd choose "fight". It's not exactly the best idea, but if "fight" didn't work, THEN I'd go "flight"

Buy the game or download it if you have to. I just got finished with my first play-through and it actually managed to make me jump here and there. Which is more than what can be said for damn near all of the horror games that have come out over the past few years.

While I like the idea and the feel of this game immensely. I do dislike the not being able to defend myself at all. I can totally sign onto a survival horror in which there is no real combat, or at the very least I am not mowing down beasts with flying buzz saws and shotguns, painting the walls with the monster's blood has always instantly made me not scared anymore. But I'm sure I am not the only one on the planet who's survival instincts dictate that when waking up in a strange, scary place alone and scared, your first step is to locate the first heavy, brick, or bat like object and keep that object with you at all times. Or for that matter I know that I'm not the only one that when confronted with some sort of attacker and with no other options left I'd at least take a swing at it instead of just letting it chew me to death with no defense at all.

Well from what I've seen, direct encounters with ennemies don't occur that often.
In this game, the closet is your best friend.

I've played the demo apart from an angry fish there wasn't any real direct contact with enemies. Though I still would have appreciated the ability to kick the angry fish when it was chewing on me. I do appreciate it being a more cerebral horror game. The total lack of defense just annoys me slightly is all.

Nice however I won't buy this game cuz I have total lack of patience for platformers, by platformers any game that forces me to hop on little boxes to survive xD

Just finished it. It did give me goose bumps every now and then, and the story is overall pretty good. The athmosphere sets the mood just right, and you can actually get frightened if you concentrate on the game too much. There are puzzles and things you must do that require quite some patience, sense of observation and logic.
It's a decent game and should be checkec out imo.
