Vista Folder Thumbnail Problems

Ok, I hate Vista, I always have and always will, keep that in mind.

So here's the deal, in my Doujin folder I like to set the thumbnail of all the folders to mah doujins to their cover pages, but it's...borken, yet borken. It worked perfectly with my old computer that has XP and is coughing up dust (damn old) but now I have Vista, ugh Vista.

Basically, properties>customize>choose file>choose the cover>apply, down right doesn't work. BUT, get this, I've tried to do the same to my "Backgrounds" folder in my pictures folder and it worked perfectly fine!

Here's a list of things I've tried:
~Clicking OK instead of apply

~Changing folder type to Picture and Video

~Moving doujin folder to my pictures set cover as thumbnail

~Doing the above and copying the picture that worked for setting thumbnail on the Backgrounds folder into the doujin folder[color=white] derp [/color] and setting thumbnail of doujin folder to that picture

...yeah. Halp?

All typos were intended.

I'd also like to know if this is possible. It was really practical to be able to put the covers as thumbnails in XP, but I haven't found a way to do the same for vista.

Wish I could help but Vista is the biggest piece of crap since ME and all my research on this issue led to no options at all. I'll keep looking when I can but don't hold your breath. Either rollback to XP or upgrade to Win 7.

Well, I found a solution, but it's troublesome.
There are two way to go about it.

A: Choose the file for the thumbnail and apply, then look at the current thumbnail and cut paste the pictures to a different location then cut and paste back.

B: Do the same as above except if you don't want to hunt for the cover pics cut and paste everything other than the cover

C: Do the same as step A but instead of pasting back into the folder just undo with Ctrl+Z

D: Choose cover file as thumbnail for all your doujins, go to Start>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup. Chose your Drive and when it finishes loading uncheck everything except for thumbnail. When it's done check out your folders and...jaaaan!

I think he mean by a screenshot on how that thumbnail problems looks like.

Try running a Disk Cleanup, and clean only the 'Thumbnails' files.
and see if it is working or not.
