The Lord of the Rings

I didn't really like the movies, they were ok, but not as great as the books can be. I really think the world Tolkien created can't be summarized in 3 movies > < . But, in the end I really love the series :)

Overall, the movie trilogy was done really well. I was fearful for how the movies were going to turn out when they first announced it, but it was better than I could have ever imagined. My only qualm is that they made Pippin a complete fool for the sake of comedic relief. Yeah, Pippin in the movies was pretty funny, but the purist fag in me still feels like his character got the short end of the stick.

They where fucking epic. Just epic. No other LOTR move will outdo them. Hell, no other fantasy movie will outdo them.

I have to say LoTR was amazing... i really dug those battles yo.

The only Return isn't of the King but of the Jedi. The whole entire was walking. Having to stop to sleep "Oh No! An Orc!" then throwing a ring into a volcano.

I just saw something about a Hobbit movie coming soon. it was on one of those ticker things that scroll across the bottom of the TV, so i didn't catch the whole thing.

I think it's based on the book 'Bilbo the Hobbit' that Tolkien wrote before Lord of the Rings. The book is about Bilbo's adventures, how he found the Ring and travelled with the dwarfes and killed the dragon (I think) and so on. I don't know if they are actually making a movie out of it though...

About a year ago I saw something on it in a Entertainment magazine at Barnes and Nobles. I think it was planed for 2011. Other than that nothing.

it was really epic...and the character in LOTR seems very cool for me,especially aragorn and Legoias

The Hobbit was going through production up until this spring when they ran into financial/legal troubles. I can't remember the exact details of the whole fiasco, but the delays caused the director to step down. Peter Jackson, the guy who directed LoTR, talked about stepping in as the replacement director, but I don't know if that's been confirmed or not.

Oh yes! I really like this movie. I watched The Lord of the Rings -The Fellowship of the Ring- twice in a movie theater. I think the best one would be the third one but the ending made me sad for some reason. Frodo Baggins left his hometown because of his wound that doesn't heal.

i loved them all. i recently heard peter jackson is now on the menu for director of the hobbit. i hope that goes well seeing as the original director quit because of a progress stand still.

This movie own's watching it on blu-ray.
