Quite a simple question, really, yet one that I think can open up some pleasant discussion. Who is your favourite hentai artist? I myself have never really bothered to learn the names of the artists that draw the hentai I view until very recently. I was looking at some work that just blew me away so much I couldn't help but find the artists name. It was Henmaru Machino. That was roughly three days ago and since then I have started really to appreciate hentai as more than just fap-aid, but truly as art, and it's all thanks to what I read about Mr.Machino and his views of art in some online articles (OK, mostly just Wikipedia).
Anyways, what about you guys? Who's your favourite? And what do you think of my choice?

I think your choice is damn good. Machino is a crazy bastard (as you can see by his work), but he is brilliant. I don't know much about him, but I know how influential he's been. He's among the "Gods of H-manga" (as I've named the folder containing all my favorite artists).
For me it's extremely hard to pick just one as my favorite. Especially if you don't limit the qualifiers - (ie. primarily manga artist, primarily doujinshi artist, primarily eroge artist, etc.) - Lots of pixiv artists are even near the top of my list.
That said, I think I could pick one... but I like to keep it a himitsu :p

It's quite funny but you guys are naming no one that I'm familiar with by name. After checking it seems that I recognize Nise Midi Doronokai and Yamatogawa's work but no one else. Nice choices guys.

Updating this thang:
- Dr.P - this fucker makes the cutest stories out there + the art is damn good.
- Shimeta Yarii - cause he draws some nice lovey dovey stuff + the art is cool.
Maybe I'm beginning to like Dr.P more than Jingrock. Mostly because of the plots. Jingrock, even though he has some fantastic art, has a lot of plots that I dislike, therefore Dr.P takes the cake there.

Nekomataya (namely his Naruto doujin) and Tony Taka (more for still drawing rather than doujin) also deserve honorable mention

Udon-ya, A.K.A Kizuki Aruchu: Probably my current overall favorite black and white artist, mainly due to the epic Monhan no erhon series. Chapter 6,7,8 have some of the best black and white artwork I've ever seen.

Based on sheer volume of works that I've collected, I'm going to have to go with Shiwasu no Okina. Yamatogawa and Tomohiro Kouda tie for second in my books, with Kisaragi Gunma coming in at third (fourth, technically).
I really have to give an honorable mention to Mukai Masayoshi though. The concepts that he has come up with are RIGHT up my alley. Unfortunately I think only ONE of his works has ever been translated (in 4 volumes, mind you). I really wish I could see more stuff from him. Check out 'Dawn of the Silver Dragon' if you're interested.
