It has the same vibe as 300 and Watchmen in the trailer, as in it looks awesome but you have no freaking idea whats going on. It'll have great visuals, minimal story or character developement. But then again no one is going to this for the story, right?
Ill just say itll be great popcorn flick to see with your buds, check your brain at the door:
"“Sucker Punch” is an epic action fantasy that takes us into the vivid imagination of a young girl whose dream world provides the ultimate escape from her darker reality. Unrestrained by the boundaries of time and place, she is free to go where her mind takes her, and her incredible adventures blur the lines between what’s real and what is imaginary.
She has been locked away against her will at Lennox House for the Mentally Insane (in Brattleboro, Vermont), but Baby-Doll (Emily Browning) has not lost her will to survive. Determined to fight for her freedom, she urges four other young girls—the outspoken Rocket (Jena Malone), the street-smart Blondie (Vanessa Hudgens), the fiercely loyal Amber (Jamie Chung) and the reluctant Sweet Pea (Abbie Cornish)—to band together and try to escape their terrible fate at the hands of their captors, Blue (Oscar Isaac), Madam Gorski (Carla Gugino) and the High Roller (Jon Hamm)."
I find it odd that a girls dream world is full of guns, robots, samurais, temples, monks, planets, dragons and downright utter pain and misery, and her reality is DARKER than that?...my stereotypes are so far off base obviously ^.^

I don't expect much of the story.
But the initial plot caught my interest.
A girl tries to escape the asylum by distorting the reality of the situation.
The closer to achieving freedom she gets to, the more distorted her reality becomes.
But geez. That's some imagination she has, HAHA!
Soley watching this action fanservice as intended. Reserve my views after the movie haha.

It was nice, for those that haven't seen it yet: It falls inbetween Watchmen and 300 in terms of how deep the story is. And honestly somehow this works for the film.
Oh and the music is amazing, really helps drive the film. I honestly couldn't imagine another soundtrack to this.

Yes! That's great to hear!
The song for the trailer sounded awesome so I had hopes for the movie's soundtrack.

I thought it was good at being what it was. That being 4 awesome action segments strung together with a barely coherent or relevant plot. But it was fun for my eyes, which was why I went and saw it, so it lived up to my expectations.

I have the dayoff and just got promoted, so I think I will treat myself and go to see this movie. So hopefully I'll have a review for later on, as long as I don't procrastinate and not end up seeing it.
*crosses fingers*
But man, this movie is not going to help with my crazy new military uniform fetish.
