Fakku's Secret Santa Event~

Oh hai!

Look at your calendar. It’s already mid-November. You know what that means right?
Christmas is just around the corner. Even if the corner looks like this:






I'm sure that some of you have heard of or participated in one before, but just in case, here's the lowdown on what Secret Santa is all about.



Sounds neat! How do I participate?

Simply say that you want in and I'll add your name to a list that I'll update regularly. You may add some extra info if you wish(hints perhaps?).

How many peeps do I get assigned to?

One person per individual.

How do I get assigned?

I'll using lottery method in order to group you up. After the end of the sign-up period, I will pm to every Secret Santa the names of their individual by December 1rst at midnight.

What can I give?

Since you're giving a gift online, be creative! :V You could write a well thought-out poem/story dedicated to that person. Perhaps you could spend some time and draw them an awesome picture, complete with colour and whatnot? Perhaps you could make a video? How about a signature? Pour your heart into it!

When and how do I give my gift?

You may reveal yourself and your present to the person in question in this thread as early as December 24th, 2010!

I dislike the person that I've been assigned to. Could you please assign me to another?

Bah humbug! Don't like 'm? Either try to get into the holiday spirits and make amends or drop out.

Those dropping out will be crossed out of the list. The ones who were assigned to a dropout will be assigned to another person within the group (meaning that someone might receive two gifts!).

In the event that the number of people signing up end up being an odd number, I'll be the wildcard and add myself to the list. Being assigned to me may be boring, but I'll be looking forward to your gift =)

Hmmm... I like this. I'll join in as well. But since I already planned out a gift for a certain person whose name I won't mention, giving two gifts shouldn't hurt lol. They're seperate okay? I have participated in Secret Santa Events on other forums previously. Most of them usually turn out well, with the exception of members who sign up for the event but disappear as the date draws closer.

In any case, I am willing to sign up to show my support for the idea and event, although my gift may possibly be rather boring.

To get everyone into the festive mood, I have stickied this thread. Hopefully, you people will not mind my small abuse of power. :)

Hmm... I am not sure if the sticky bug is still in effect. However, based on past experiences, whenever the opening post is edited, the sticky might disappear.
