How to use the search.manually.

Because the search function is broken and their are a lot of complaints about it, I'm gonna tell you noobs how to use the manual search function.

It's very easy, first off go to google.



Type what you want to search in google followed by this format.

:site:fakku.net

For this example i'm going to use the word bannana. So what i would enter in google is the following

banana :site:fakku.net


Like so.



And magic! Everything related to the word banana on fakku is sourced up.



Great thing about this is it works on any site on the internet not just fakku. So say i wanted to search banana's on another site say like kotaku.com i would use the same format and type it in google, like this.

This is usefull if the search decided to break again!

I've been using this search technique for quite a while now, but I forgot where the hell I learned it from. Then I find it here.
This is very useful for searching posts around the threads.

Question: are they any plans to rebuild the search feature? The google method works... kind of, in that you can search for a word or phrase, but it's not very specific. You can't, say, search only in thread titles, or only in a subforum. I think that would be really helpful for people who want to make a new thread, (like me), who didn't know if such a thread was already in existence. It would really be a lot easier than searching through the first five or six pages of a subforum.

Also, a suggestion for the general manga search feature: could you make some type of a advanced search? As it is, it's only by title OR tag. It would be great to be able to search multiple tags together, along with keywords if you're not sure of the exact title.
