That idea

Repost for lost thread and continuation
I was bored the other day, and stumbling upon the old Fakku wiki, I've decided to tidy it up a bit, updating sections, adding pics etcetera. Having typed in Waar as IB and Random mod, I ended up making a 'Waar' page with a basic description of him, and got the idea of adding some of his notable threads. And then I thought, 'I can't just do one for him'. So I quickly made one for Tegumi, too (being another mod).
So then I wanted to make more for other people, as a cute, vaguely unbiased (wikis being self-regulating) way of introducing old members to the general user base, and outlining their contributions to the forums over time - you could, for example, encapsulate the legends of members that have left or been banned, naming no names. But it would take ages for one person, I don't know everyone well enough, and the idea of a wiki is that everyone joins in.
So all I'm saying is, if people would like to have a go at making pages for individuals and their good threads/contributions/classic moments, that could be cool. If you do fancy making one, just click edit on Waar's page, click the 'source' button and copy-paste all of the code into a new page. Then edit accordingly, add the 'Fakku! users' category to keep them all together, and voila. I've compiled a quick guide in a post below.
I didn't post this in IB because everyone would be hatin' that bit faster.

Guide to making your own user page

And you're done! Subtle humour is fine, but try to remain unbiased and to-the-point. I don't think there's much use in total parody.
It is more geared towards older users by virtue of having been around to do stuff, but there are equally new users who have become heavily involved in certain sections, events etcetera. The example pages I made should give you an idea of the tone and content that I think would work.
And of course, there have been loads of major events which perhaps warrant pages themselves. Could work well in the absence of an about page or proper history of Fakku.
I've added links to all of the user articles thus far to the first post. Feel free to make additions to those, or to create pages yourself using the guide on the first page of this thread.
These are not on the basis of personal friendship, they're just people who I'm citing as having given a lot to the forums (of which there are many). I can only do so much though...and I'd rather have someone who knows the admins better do their pages.

The beauty of Wikia is that anyone could edit the pages, which should negate any unnecessary flattery. :p The entries should be interesting, but they are first and foremost informative. Do we really need user pages?
Frankly, unless it's modified solely by the user it's named after, that is a little creepy. I wouldn't want someone looking up a commonly used username of someone and finding such info: could be detrimental to their IRL reputation. :\

Of course we don't need them, I just thought they would be a nice gesture. I'm not personally going to write anything defamatory, and we have eyes on the site. It's just making use of the thing to highlight past achievements and basic history. By all means take a gander at the pages above, and you'll hopefully see what I mean.
To be damaging to their irl reputation someone would have to be browsing the Fakku Wiki, and therefore surely know about Fakku already...I don't quite see your point. I can't see it topping the Google search listings.

[font=Verdana][color=green]Hmm...I don't know. It just seems a bit...hmm...clicky.
Well, good luck to anyone who does decide to join Dos in this idea.

I propose that Tegumi herself create a page for lollollol12. Remember, "fair and balanced." If fox news can't do it, she can try.

This page should be removed or heavy edited/altered. One look at it will tell you why.

Are serious it's not like you're using your real name so how would this affect your real world reputation. Unless you walk around telling people "I'm gizgal on a hentai site called Fakku but don't look me up on wikia."

HAHAAH! Nah.
But along the lines of like... hmm. I know at least, job interviews and such do look around a bit for online information about you from what they know. If your email is similar, etc, could lead to such.
I use different names for different purposes, so I'm set. ;D

I've added a cleanup template to the Wiki, and applied it to Shinji's article (simply put {{cleanup}} in the source code of a page if you want to use it). May rework it myself later on.

Something tells me that a self generated Fakku! Wikia page isn't a very good idea. Tegumi and I have eyes on it, so regulation shouldn't be a problem, if that's what you mean. Ably demonstrated above...
