Grand Knights History

The next game being developed by the people at VanillaWare, the creators of the beautiful game Odin Sphere, Grimgrimoire, and Muramasa: The Demon Blade has recently been announced. It's titled as "Grand Knights History" and is for the PSP.
It is a fantasy RPG, and is being published by Marvelous Entertainment; it will be produced by Yoshifumi Hashimoto (the same publisher and producer of Muramasa), and Hitoshi Sakimoto will be producing the music for the game (as one who knows their music well will quickly realize in the link to the main site, below). The game is currently set for a summer release in Japan. The game is stated to use networking support in some way. I am looking forward to this game quite a bit, as I love all of VanillaWare's games, and this is looking to prove no different.
Some details on the game are that;
- the story of GKH revolves around three warring kingdoms.
- Players form their own band of knights (utilizing customization elements), and the game uses an orthodox turn-based battle system.
- GKH is being directed by Vanillaware's Tomohiko Deguchi, thus making this the first Vanillaware game not directed by George Kamitani.

I will definitely need to get a PSP before this is released. It'll be worth it if it's at least as good as Muramasa.

Oh yes, I forgot to post the screens, lol; my mistake.
There aren't too many, but it looks very reminiscent of VanillaWare's past games.

The site seems to have updated with the locations and the main characters being shown (nothing really new though).
And just a little plot notice; Union's king is Leon, Sophia is the former empress of Logress whom Leon saved after the revolution led by Logress' current ruler Fausel.

This news made my day yesterday, lol. Thank you, XSEED!

I actually already have the JPN version of this game (though mine is english patched), and it's really good. I stopped playing Trails in the Sky for this.

Sorry to bring bad news but Xseed canceled the us release. apparently it's because vanillware is putting all of their energy into dragons crown.

[color=#006FFF]It's total bs, but it's true. Apparently XSEED doesn't even have a translation group within their team and they were relying on VanillaWare to do it, hence them being busy with Dragon's Crown. I think that's very poor management on XSEED's part, and honestly they were never my ideal company to bring it over. It'd be awesome if ATLUS managed to pick it up at some point like Dragon's Crown but I won't get my hopes up.
Here's the source for anyone who cares:

I imported it regardless and the game is fantastic. I'd be great if they brought it over later on.

For the love of god I hope Atlus or somebody decides to bring this over after that cancellation announcement. If not, then it looks like I'll be importing it from either Europe or Japan. Preferably Europe because I can't read Japanese... unless a fan translation is made for it.

The translation has been done for a while, but, like a number of localization companies, they need the original developer to insert the text. It's actually Vanillaware's fault for mismanaging things and winding up neck deep in Dragon's Crown.
