Devil Survivor 2 (NDS)

Devil Survivor 2 has already been confirmed for the old Nintendo DS. This time, the stage is not just Tokyo, but Japan as a whole as you try to survive and stop a group of outer-space beings from wreaking havoc. Quoted blip from Siliconera:

"Septentrion, odd looking invaders from outer space, arrived on Earth. You, a cool looking high school student with a collared coat, must stop the crisis. Allies include childhood friend Daichi and honors student heartthrob Io are two of your allies. Perhaps, the GIPS will help? Under Yamato’s leadership this group is prepared to fight against the invaders with branches throughout Japan, but the group also has their own agenda"

There are 13 characters this time around confirmed (including the protagonist and friends) that will combat this threat. Devil Survivor 2 is set to release in Japan July 28. More information coming as it is confirmed and given.

...Looking forward to getting this since the first was enjoyable.

I always did like the first one. Is this a sequel or a completely new universe?

I'm pretty hyped for this myself, seeing as I cleared all the routes in the original Devil Survivor... Though by factoring in aliens... That kinda throws a monkey wrench in the original God vs Demons factor of all SMT games. This should prove to be an interesting twist on things...

Not sure, but I'm thinking it a brand new universe in a similar setting (expect for transversing Japan). However, don't quote me on that just yet, since I'm not really sure.



I thinking these "Invaders" maybe the same as demons...but not entirely sure what the story writers have in mind. However, a new concept may not be so bad...

Nah. They said that having both games was too big for 1 umd.

A PS1 game was too big for one UMD... Guess they're putting in voices to the characters and stuff...

Bumping thread because this game is awesome. Has anyone else been playing this recently? I'm already on Wednesday in the game. It's pretty much the same as the first one (which is by no means a bad thing) but with some nice improvements. I like the characters better and the fate system is nice for those who are familiar with persona's S.links.

Who all possesses this game, and how far are you on it?

I don't have it. But I do have the first one for the 3DS and it's a bitch to beat. I imagine the seconds just as much of a pain in the ass as the first one.

Hmhm...I remember hearing that Lucifer spams a field spell named Megidoladyne. That wouldn't happen to be the case, would it?

I have it but I promised myself I'd beat Tales of the Abyss first. I bought both the orginal DS and DS:OC, they're what got me into the SMT series.

Sluthunter have you played the first devil survivor If so which ones harder? Or are they about the same? Before i foget do you have a 3DS?

i hear that OP is now melee units, specifically agi melee units via multistrike, haven't played all that much though.

IMO difficulty goes as thus (hardest to least: DS2 (they nerfed dances, so early game is much more difficult) - DS: OC - DS
