Dead Island

After reading this, Dead Island just became an insta-buy.

After seeing this shit I became very intrigued. I saw the video yesterday, so now I'm really glad that there are only 3 weeks left until I see this.

Excluding Red Dead Redemption's Undead Nightmare, this will be the first true zombie game I have played. Resident Evil 4 & 5 are not zombie games.

Indeed, this game is one of the reasons I bought a PS3. Not only does the gameplay look cool, the story seems one to look forward to. And that's a lot to say for a zombie game.

Just saw the release video and the Aussie accents are painfully bad! (Not that I was expecting anything else)

My copy shipped today, can't wait when it arrives on Tuesday. PS3 version if anyone wants to co-op.

After reading that article, I felt like crying, I was so happy. Finally, a zombie game that's not just guns. Strategy, realitic actions, anythings a weapons, it's like a dream come true. Thank God I'm getting a PS3 in the next 2 weeks. Hope I can pre order within that time.

And Tsujoi, I'm down with co-op with ya.

I'll give this game a rent and play it that way. it should be a good one.

Ok, While I was watching a couple game play videos, I found a comment that was saying that the fact we were killing black zombies was racist. I just had to laugh to myself over how easily butt-hurt this guy could get.

Now let the comments start rolling in and see where this will take us.

According to this guy, the animations are not so great, there are texture pop-ins, and the story starts off like a bitch. My reaction: I don't give a fuck. This is all shit I can tolerate, and texture pop-ins with a game like this is understandable. The dude mentions how much was used from Fallout 3, but it makes me wonder if he ever played Borderlands. Way more shit has been taken from that game, and speaking of Borderlands, the story there was dick and yet the game was fun as hell. If it's true that Dead Island is fun and has a creepy atmosphere, then I'll enjoy the fuck out of this. Day one purchase, only two days left. I'll probably write up a more thorough opinion on this game when I'm done with it.

Also, the guy didn't have a biased opinion of the game. He was just pointing out noticable flaws in the game, but wasn't saying they downplayed the game. Personally, as long as the flaws don't efect my gameplay, then I'm good.

Just got my pre-order on it I can't wait.
